The payment screen will have an option for Disney Gift Cards. Select that and you have to manually enter the card number during check out. Gift Card numbers are not stored in the app.

People have suggested texting the card number to yourself, or writing it in your Notes app, to avoid having to type it every time. Simply copy/paste/eat.

The other method for on-site hotel stays is to charge everything to your Magicband and then use the gift card at the hotel front desk. Simplifies the gift card number tracking side when you can use it all up at once.

I also saw that some people were able to put Disney cards on to Apple Pay and somehow transfer funds into that card. That one I'm not sure how that would work, but that would be another method via Apple Pay.

electronic Disney Gifts cards can be added to the Apple Wallet app, but you can't use them with Apple Pay. You can only present the entry in the Wallet app and the CM can scan the bar code.

If you do use the magic band option and want to pay the front desk with gift cards, you have to do that in person, at least every other day. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to do it online or by phone. And if I went more than 2 days, they tried to charge my debit card from the front desk.

unless something has changed, you cannot charge a mobile order to your room, so this won't work for the OP.
