Moaning Myrtle

Anyway, can you really hear moaning Myrtle in the bathroom? where at? how frequently? Thanks!

I know she is in Hogsmeade, but I havent been in the bathroom at Diagon Alley to say for sure on that one. It was pretty continuous when I was in there too, so it isnt like you have to be a creeper hanging out in the bathroom to catch it.

i have been know to wonder into the men's restrooms but i always run out quickly.......
when i see the urinals, i know i'm in the wrong one.

My husband says yes, in the men's bathroom too (in Hogsmeade).I'm pretty sure I did not hear Moaning Myrtle in the bathroom at Diagon Alley.

In the Hogsmeade bathroom you can hear her in both the mens and womens restrooms

As mentioned, you can hear her in the Hogsmeade bathroom adjacent to Three Broomsticks. She was not in the Diagon Alley bathroom, but that bathroom did look like the ones from the movie with the long pipes and the tank near the ceiling.

The Diagon Alley bathroom is very cool, just like in the Deathly Halllows. I asked my daughter if we should try to flush ourselves into the Ministry of Magic, but we decided against it.

I saw a fan photo from last weekend Celebration of Harry Potter of a girl dressed as Moaning Myrtle who was in a school robe, dark hair, glasses with a prop toilet seat around her neck. Dedication.

The Diagon Alley bathroom is very cool, just like in the Deathly Halllows. I asked my daughter if we should try to flush ourselves into the Ministry of Magic, but we decided against it.

Ha! That's one of the first things I pointed out to the boys. And that's still a very common plumbing configuration overseas.

But I have to say, both boys aren't the biggest fans of the Moaning Myrtle bathroom in Hogsmeade. It's really kinda funny. They're in and out of there way faster than any other bathroom I've seen them in and they're constantly looking over their shoulders.... I shouldn't laugh but I'm thinking about putting her in ours so they get out of there quicker....!!

I need to remember to check out the bathrooms next time I go! I always seem to wind up stopping in the bathrooms everywhere but the HP sections lol. Kind of easy to forget to view the restrooms as an attraction to hit in themselves.

Moaning Myrtle has different dialog for the men's and women's bathroom. I don't think it would make much sense if she said "you call that six inches?" in the women's room.

I just read on Theme Park Insider that at Universal Studios Japan WWoHP, Moaning Myrtle speaks in Japanese. Makes sense. I guess all the Potter movies have been dubbed in Japanese so this is probably normal to visitors.

as someone who generally avoids public bathrooms, I will have to make sure to visit the bathrooms here!
