Moana---SUPER BUMMED

I'm not expecting another M&G. The merchandise wasnt popular so they removed most of it and neither was the movie. The movie did well initially but I dont think it has done well since

$248 Million in the US, $642 Million worldwide. Only Frozen, Lion King and Zootopia ahead of it for non-Pixar Disney animation.

Did better than Tangled, Wreck it Ralph, Princess and the Frog, Mulan, Pocahontas, Lilo & Stitch.

I know there was a Moana M&G earlier this year, but stopped in March or April. Are there any rumors that she's coming back by the end of July? DD loves Moana, am hoping she'll be back so we can do a M&G.

The prevailing rumor is she'll be in Adventureland, but no official announcement has been made, and no reliable timetable seems to exist.

Considering they added her to HEA I would think she will pop up again somewhere. Merida still has a M&G and Brave wasn't exactly the huge hit that others have been.

Merida's meet and greet was one of the best we did last year (maybe the best). I thought Brave was so-so, but the character is cool and she did a fantastic job.

Moanna, anecdotally speaking, I think is a pretty popular movie. I can't imagine they won't bring her back. My family will absolutely want to see her this summer.

Thank you for the link! That Pua is new since I last looked but the one we saw was much smaller! They said it sold out online really fast too! I hope they bring back the smaller plush!

Thank you! Is this the store at Disney Springs? I was talking with my DGD4 yesterday about our upcoming trip to WDW. She's super excited, and I asked her what it was she wanted to do the very most at WDW and she said "Meet Moana". Bummer. I then said that she may not be visiting while we're there (next week) but that MAYBE she could get a doll or a costume. I sure hope they have some merchandise.
We're skipping BBB this year so a costume would be a good idea. They were a little down about not doing BBB.
ETA: Do you think they will have the Moana costume at Castle Couture?

I thought of this too! She'd be perfect there, although I don't know if it would make sense to keep Lilo & Stitch there with her. The character meals seem to be either all face characters (Princesses) or all plush characters. Moana & Maui together would be a lot of fun though!

Yes, I did as well and it's very nice quality - watch for a sale. The Moana costume at the Disney store is also nice and they have sales.

Yes I'm the queen of sales. Bought both my dds a Pocahontas costume and jasmine costume for $7.99 each at the Disney store.com! I was amazed. Normally $45!

Any updates on a Moana M&G? I find it odd that she disappeared and no plans to have her meet elsewhere? We travel in August and would be disappointed not to see her.

1900 PF breakfast has both face characters (Alice, Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins) and plush (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger) so it could be done at O'hana and would make sense with the theming. In fact, right now I have zero intention on going to O'hana breakfast since my family doesn't like eggs but if Moana is there, I might book it!
