MNSSHP: What's the best part?

Do the MNSSHP tickets usually sell out or is that something I can purchase when I arrive in September? Or can I add the tickets to my package (I'm staying on-site under the Magic Your Way with Dining plan)?

You have to purchase the tickets seperately. They don't come with the package.

You may want to purchase them ahead of time...we did because I didn't want to take a chance they'd be sold out later on.

Hi guys. Jason (who made this video last year) was kind enough to post his video again for our family to watch. Thought some of you might like to see it too.

Keep your fingers crossed they will do it again this year! Has anyone heard if they released the details of the party yet? Last I checked, www.allearsnet.com still had 2005 details posted.

When and where are you going to the World? We are leaving on Sat., June 16 and staying through the 23rd at Pop Century!

DH and I are going to the Sept 22nd parade!

We will be there Sept 16th- 24th and i JUST changed resorts from the POP to POFQ!

Look for me! I will be wearing my Ruby Gloom shirt that says " I AM NEVER ALONE" it has Ruby sitting down with ghosts popping up from behind her! ...at least this is what i am planning on wearing right now- things may change- but i will keep all you 9/22 parade goers updated!

Hi guys! I'll be attending 2 parties this year because we felt 1 just wasn't enough! We loved the parade and the fireworks were amazing! The whole mood of the park changes. There are colored lights all around, with ghosts and witches flying up and down Main Street. The Haunted Mansion has some eerie cobweb lights on it! It's so cool! There is just so much to see and do, and the characters are awesome!

I love your MNSSHP pictures! Where did you take the Cinderella's coach picture? We aren't eating dinner in the park that night (we're coming from EPCOT), so I want to make sure it's not in LTT!

We are going on the last night of our trip, and I'm guessing I'll take most of our pictures there!

Here's a question for all of you--how many pictures do you take (roughly) at the party?

Now, Maddhatir--you'll have to excuse my ignorance, but who is Ruby Gloom? Is she part of the HM? I thought I was pretty Disney savvy....but apparently NOT!

...and I cannot believe you already know what you're going to wear that night! You are WAY AHEAD of me!

Now, I have another question for you gals on this thread (in addition to the number of pictures question I posted above): Have any of you ever come from another park to do the party? If so, when/where did you change?

(We need a MNSSHP Smilie!)

Hi! I'm so glad you liked them! Our photos are from a 2004 MNSSHP, but from what I've heard last year's party was even better! We can't wait to see Hallowishes!
We took the Cinderella coach photos behind the castle. The coach was out last year too. They usually have characters make appearances there as well. I heard sometimes Cindy and her prince! We saw and got photos with Fairy Godmother and the two mice from Cinderella. We saw Princess Minnie in her gazebo behind her house. She was so cute! Really great photo opportunities throughout the park. We took about 50 pictures that night!

ooh, the pics of the characters in costume have me rethinking my adrs for that night... we were going to do 1900 pf @ the gf, but now i think i want to do a restaurant in the mk... does anyone here know if they get costumed in tony's or crystal palace?

i am soooooo excited! (and i'd LOVE a ticker w/the bats but since it is a total surprise trip for my kids, and they are forever over my shoulder, i am afraid to have a ticker at all! LOL?)

You dont have to excuse yourself! this is Ruby Gloom- she reminds me of myself- (Gloomy wise, kinda cynical) she is not part of Disney.

i didnt want to dress up so i am just wearing a tee shirt (well....i WILL have a skirt on also! hey will that be a TRICK or a TREAT! )

we will be in EPCOT before the party- we have ADRs at the Coral Reef for 3pm and then we will jump on the monorail over to MK.

its 7:12 AM and i did it again- changed my ADRs just for the MNSSHP!

not going to Coral Reef before the party- DH and i are NOW dining at Tonys at 4:30 pm i figured- lets get nuts and be in the MK before the party. hopefully we can get a table on the front porch and people watch for a while!

Hi! The characters only dress up in Liberty Tree Tavern. Even the waitstaff out front got into it and dressed as Haunted Mansion ghosts! I heard that last year the waitstaff at Tony's dressed up as HM ghosts too.

Only LTT characters wear masks. The CMs wear make up to look like HM CMs.

Last year we ate at Tony's and some of the CMs wore make up that kind of looked like HM CMs.

Crystal Place doesn't do anything special for the party. Neither does the Castle or the Plaza.

I wanted to know what kind of costumes the kids (and adults?) wear. We are from a very small community and you are shunned if you don't have a completely homemade and original costume? Thanks

We have been to MNSSHP the last 2 years. Costume-wise, anything goes....

You can see; no costumes, just masks, complete matching handmade outfits,...

It really runs the gamut.

The first year, we did makeup and full costumes and our 2 boys(6 & 8) were too hot, sweaty and cranky to enjoy the evening.

Last year, we had matching Halloween T-shirts made at the Disney Ink Shop on Zazzle . Everyone was much more comfortable, we were still dressed for the occasion, and had a great time.

I thimk it really depends on which night you are there.

In 2004, The tony's waitstaff was dressed up on Halloween Night proper,

Last year we went 2 or 3 nights before the 31st, and none were dressed up.
