To take advantage of...

  • LOTS of characters to meet and greet (rare characters)
  • The special parade and fireworks show
  • Trick or treating
  • Shorter lines, no wait at most popular attractions

I know it can be a long night. And last year we used up a lot of time riding BTMR and SPLASH, over and over again (fun stuff :jumping1: ) except, we missed the headless horseman (never saw him before, but did see the parade a few times) didnt get to take pics with many characters. Didnt really get to watch the fireworks. (they were just going off all around us behind the trees and stuff)

I want to take FULL advantage and do everything!

For our family it was meeting characters - dd is 3 and this was the most exciting to her. We really didn't leave Toon Town or Fantasy land for the most part. We did not see the parade (totally lost track of time) and had to go inside for the fireworks because she is afraid of them. Trick or treating was fun but it didn't drive us. If we saw a treat station and it wasn't crowded we would go to it. A lot of cm's had candy with them and would give it to her as we were walking around. We went on many rides with little or no waiting but as we had done MK already 3 times the rides weren't that important. So, in short, finding characters and letting dd decide what we were doing was pretty much our evening! It's just fun to be there with the atmosphere!

We did a little bit of everything. DD went on some rides, did alot of trick or treating, saw the parade, and the fireworks, and did other fun stuff like face-painting and went to stitch's halloween dance party - we had such fun, I'm so glad we decided to go!!!

For us the priority is the Halloween stuff like the parade, fireworks, photo taken, and trick or treating and then hopefully catching some characters. If we do a couple of rides, great but that isn't the priority for us.

I really dont know. DS(2) has never been and he likes dress up characters - so far, so if he wants to go do that, than we will. Not sure what DS(8) will want to do - he doesnt know yet. So we kind of will leave it up to them.

DS(8) did say that the ONLY reason he would go to Disney would be to go trick or treating in his Darth Vader costume.

We shall see next week when we get there. I have only made Res. for dinners so other than that, take it as it comes.

Probably do some planning on the plane.

We just got back and did MNSSHP on Oct. 6th. It was awesome! We did 8 rides with no wait, watched the parade and the fireworks (were the coolest ever)...all in 4 hours.
We will definately do it again!
