We just found out that the MNSSHP will be held during our week in Oct. I was wondering how scary it was for younger kids? Our kids will be 8 and almost 4 when we go. I am trying to decide if the younger twins will be scared.

I took my 5-year-old son and 8-year-old niece to MNSSHP last year and they both had a great time. The parade does feature the headless horseman in the lead and many of Disney's villains. But, there's nothing jumping out at the kids trying to scare them.

You'll want to make sure your little ones take naps during the day to get the most out of the event. We took a mid-day break, but my son didn't nap. He fell asleep about 9:30 p.m.

There are designated trick or treat stations throughout the park and many of the CMs wandering about have bags full of goodies.

We had a 5:25 PS at Crystal Palace which was great to beat the crowds lining up to enter the park.

Our 19-month-old daughter loved it. I think the scariest thing there was the villian from Mulan (can't remember his name) and the Hercules float in the parade. My daughter didn't bat an eye, though. We had a wonderful time!

I went with my dd-6 and ds-2. My son is scared of everything but had a great time at the party. He actually wasn't scared of anything in WDW. Not even the Haunted Mansion.

thanks for the great info. I might try and get a PS in the park around 5:30. That sounds like a great idea.
