MNSSHP vs. MVMCP

For those who have been to both parties......which is better and how would you compare the two? I've been to the MVMCP and I can't imagine anything better than that, but I've been told that MNSSHP is much better. Could this be so?

I haven't attended both parties (yet) but I wanted to see this bumped! I went to MNSSHP last year and it was great! I plan to attend MVMCP this year and I expect good things from it too. I am a big Halloween fan so I think that MNSSHP will be closer to my heart - I think it all depends on which holiday is more "you".

Now that we are DVC members I think we will alternate MNSSHP and MVMCP every year.

Oh, this is always a tough one for me. I've done both.

I've done MVMCP 3 times now last one being this past December. I did MNSSHP the year before for the first time and we'll be attending it again this October!

I like them both.

I like MVMCP for the Christmas atmosphere, the snow, the decorations, the parade, the special shows and the parade. It's so magical and fun.

I liked MNSSHP for the decorations (and music piped in), the trick or treating, seeing the costumes, and the special parade. This is actually the only time we saw any Halloween decorations so that was nice.

Now if I really had to choose, I think it would be MVMCP. You just can't beat the Xmas season at WDW. I totally enjoyed MNSSHP too but it's just not the same. My DH enjoys MVMCP because he says Disney shouldn't be Halloweeny or scary at all cause it's Disney after all. Well, MNSSHP wasn't scary so I'm not sure what him meant...

Anyway, if someone twisted my arm it would by MVMCP. But I'd like to alternate each year if I could.

We've done both several time and we really like the Halloween Party a lot better! Don't get me wrong, the Christmas Party is WONDERFUL, we just think the Halloween Party is more fun. We love all the spooky decorations and the creepy music, and we love seeing everybody in their costumes! It's especially neat to see all the characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes. We also love seeing all the villains roaming around, but then, we LOVE the bad guys! The decorations for the Halloween Party are really special. They do a HUGE transformation after the park closes before the party. For the Christmas Party, the decorations are just the same as what you see in the park during the day time. We also think the Halloween parade is really cool! We especially love seeing the Headless Horseman ride through the Magic Kingdom on his huge black horse. Way cool!! I'm sure it's just a personal choice, though. And, like I said, the Chirstmas Party is awesome. For us, though, it's not quite as unusual or as much fun as the Halloween Party!

We've done both and really enjoyed them. I guess I liked MVMCP a little better because I enjoy the season more. The decorations, music, and shows are great! MNSSHP was fun. I do think they need to expand the soundtrack for the party. We heard Which Witch is Which a few too many times.

We have done both now. And Honestly I enjoyed the Christmas party more..
I like the whole atmosphere more
It just seemed more magical to me...
