OK all of you MNSSHP veterans. I need your best advice for what not to miss and for what we want to make sure we do at MNSSHP. First timers w/ 8 yoDS and 5 yo DD. TIA!

A few of the things my family won't miss are the HM,the parade, the Headless Horseman's ride and the fireworks!

There are 2 MNSSHP parades. They run at 8:30pm and another at 10:30pm.About 10 minutes prior to parade time is when the Headless Horseman makes his ride down the parade route.

Halloween Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks is a 9:15pm.Be sure to get a good view of Cindy's Castle because you never know who might be flying overhead!

Ya might want to take a look at the MNSSHP thread up above...it's LOADED with info! Here's a link:

THANKS BALOO!
I am printing the info from the link right now. This is our first time to do the party and I am so excited!!! I've tried to explain to my kids what will be going on but I don't think they can picture it. I was able to get a 5pm LTT PS today so we will beat the crowd in!!!!!!!!!!!

LMC -

What day are you attending the party that you were able to get a 5:00 PM LTT ressie???

I have been trying to move up a 6:00 PM on the 24th FOREVER now with NO LUCK.

I think this is going to be one of the busiest days!

Try to change your LTT now. I have been trying since June to get what I wanted for Halloween night. No dice. I tried yesterday after some other people on these boards told of their recent success too. I got 5 pm on Halloween for a party of 12. I think they opened up some more times.

UPDATE!!!

I called this morning - could not believe I got through right away on a Saturday - and got a 5:20 on the 24th - I can't believe it !

I love these boards - would be so lost without them - THANKS GUYS!!!

This was the one thing left on my itinerary that was still bugging me - now my schedule is complete - until I change it again!

This is our family's absolute FAVORITE thing to do at WDW--the MNSSHP. We already have our hotel ressie's for 2004. My suggestion--go 2 nights. We did this last year because we love it so much. Being in the park until midnight, the parade, the fireworks (near the bridge to Tomorrowland), Trick or Treating, the rides you don't even have to get off, the costumes--everything is so special.

Without e-nights, we love the party for two nights--the Magic Kindom is especially magic at night. We like Sundays especially because it doesn't seem as crowded. Last year, we did Sunday and Friday (Nov. 1st). We thought Nov 1st would be less crowded, but it was much more "crowded" ("crowds" is relative for this event--30 minute wait for the most popular ride is crowded) and the only reason we could figure why was that it was Friday night and the locals attended. Since it's a separately ticketed event (park ticket not needed) it's a relatively inexpensive visit to Disney.

It is also one of our favorites and we are going again this year. As previously posted, don't miss the headless horseman, parade and fireworks. The castle basks in ghoulish colors and main street has ghosts and witches projected flying across the buildings. The family pictures and trick or treating are great also. I would recommend getting your picture done early to avoid the long lines and do the last parade. Also, there will be special sweatshirts and t-shirts sold for party participants that aren't always available at other times. This is the 3rd year in a row for us and we love it.

We love MNSSHP too! We also agree that it is fun to go twice. We'll be there 10-26 and 10-31! We'll be on our honeymoon--we got engaged at the 10-31-01 MNSSHP just as the fireworks started above the Castle! It was pure magic. We can't wait to be there for our honeymoon.

I also agree with the previous poster...do NOT miss the Headless Horseman. It was so neat! We got our picture taken too which was a nice souvenir to have arrive when we got home. The fireworks are absolutely spectacular...youcan hear peope ooohing and ahhhing throughout our entire video!

Have a great time!

What do they give out for trick or treating???
Just wondering. LOL:p

Last year, we got an assortment.....chocolates, hard candies.......it was all "good"candy, not just the cheap stuff.
