Would you do MNSSHP twice and not to regular night?

My options for regular night are 25th of October (super not recommended day) or 27th of October (we are staying onsite so we are able to stay for the EMH)

Both days sound like it will be very crowded but we good get FP+ 60 days in advance for 3 attractions and stay for extra magic hours. I read some reports that even extra magic hours get really busy due to the limited nights of MK normal entertainment in October.

I already have all holiday pay from flights accommodation and free ddp, to events insurance and photopasses for both universal and Disney.

I am tempted to buy MNSSHP for two nights. Are the attractions with really low waits? Would do visit the party twice or would you pick a regular day and try to make most of it?

1. Some do that. Kind of an expensive way to go.
2. I don't know that "very crowded" applies to most of October.
3. Yes. (Because riding the attractions is not generally the main focus of party guests.)
4. One party, one "regular day" would be my choice.

We have never been to MNSSHP but in 2006 we did MVMCP twice. My daughter had to see Belle in her red dress so we came back again. We had a great time both nights. We went again in 2013 and it was not the same experience. I'm not sure if they are selling more tickets, if people are attending in higher numbers, or if there are so many people who don't buy tickets and just hang out but it was so packed we literally could not get to Main St for the parade. If we ever go a again we will know what to expect (not much besides long waits). I would have been upset if we already had two nights worth of tickets and had a bad time considering the cost. Maybe you should see how your night goes and see if you want to try for another night (I know this is risky since tickets sell out).

I find there is so many special experiences during MNSSHP that I get on relatively few rides (but Haunted Mansion is a must).

The fireworks are some of the best all year, ditto the parade with the characters in costume (Winnie the Pooh as a bumblebee, for example)

There are special magic shots from the photo pass photographers, rare character meet and greets (all 7 dwarves, Belle and Beast, princesses with their princes, and of course, the villains). There is a great villain themed castle show performed multiple times during the party.

There are dance parties, and trick or treating too.

So you can see why some people don;t get around to the rides.

We go to the MNSSHP twice, but we focus on the party activities - the parade, fireworks, Villains show, dance parties and Trick or Treating. We go on some rides, but that's not our focus.

Looking at your schedule - are you staying for 12 nights? If you are and you're more interested in rides and not the party activities, I would not spend the extra money for party tickets. In 12 days you should be able to ride everything you want, probably multiple times.

We did 3 MNSSHP last year. We didn't do any rides, we were only interested in meeting all the characters so we went to 3 parties. We met nearly all characters within two nights and all 3 parties were sold out. I would absolutely do this again.

I think it is going to come down to your " must do " list and determine if you think you can do it in one party I am one who has gone to many of the MNSSHP The only ride I ever rode was HM during them just so fitting for the theme

For me there is so much more than rides, the fireworks, the parade, the hardly ever seen characters Last year I went to two of them because of meeting friends and my ultimate goal was to get pictures of the horse & the headless horseman It was frustrating me for many years, just couldn't get it right Last year was a win ! the party sounds really amazing

The party IS amazing! We did two MNSSHPs last year...on our first night, and on our last. It was an expensive proposition, but we had a great time and I don't feel like it was a waste of money. The second night was especially productive because we went on a non-discounted evening, so there were fewer people there, and we didn't feel the need to wait around for Hallowishes since we'd seen it earlier in the week.

If the financial burden isn't too much, I'd just go with the two parties. MK is really, really crowded on non-party days...we've BTDT, and regretted it. Both the MSEP and Wishes are just "Eh" when compared to the Halloween parade and Hallowishes as well, though if you've never seen them, then my advice might change to have you pick up a non-party evening just to see them (don't spend the day at MK, though...it will be super crowded).

We are doing two parties this year. The first for party stuff, and the second mostly for rides. This will be the first year that we will be doing two. We've gone only once per year the last several years.

I've found that while researching crowd calendars, any day that doesn't have MNSSHP scheduled is rated as higher crowds, which makes sense; however, I don't think that means that the crowds will be a nightmare on the dates that do not have the party. We're going in late September/early October, and plan to do one non-recommended day at MK, so we can be there for MSEP and Wishes. We are also doing a day visit on a day with MNSSHP scheduled (and the party on our last night). Personally, I wouldn't buy a second day of party tickets just to experience lower crowds, as the tickets are fairly expensive.

I'd recommend adjusting your expectations. MK on on-party days will see crowds that feel more like July than October. :crowded: If you go in with reasonable expectations you won't be disappointed, but you can't expect average crowds at MK on non-party days. The first time we went to MK on a non-party day, we were not expecting the crowds that we experienced, especially based on the crowds that we'd seen on our first MK day, which was earlier in the week on a party day.

My son & I did MNSSHP for 2 nights last year on 10/31 & 11/1. After having done the HP at DL the year before & not being able to take part in everything, I made a vow to always go for 2 parties. Personally, I felt at MK, it wasn't really needed like at DL. The 2nd night we were really tired & just did some rides. So, this year, we're just going on 10/31.

I think the only reason you'd really need 2 nights at MK is if you want to do a lot of meet & greets. Those lines are so long that it would be hard to take part in both them & all of the other party activities .

We usually go twice. One night we wear elaborate costumes (6ft fairy wings, full ball gown, etc.) and take lots of photos. On the second night we were simpler costumes or mundane clothes and focus on activities that don't work when you're in costume (BTMRR, SM).

We had a couple of years where we only did one party and the party was a bust. Last year the party was hella crowded, a few years back there were torrential downpours. Having the second party ticket means I've got a fall back plan. Then again, we typically don't buy park tickets on party days and we don't go to Disney outside of party time, so we might be slightly party obsessed. :P

We weren't blown away by the party experience.

I was very happy to do EMH (for no extra $) vs. paying all that extra to attend party.

I could see doing it once, but not twice.

Actually the last time we went on a party week, we opted to avoid it altogether. But then, since then- we've generally opted to avoid party time frames altogether. I much prefer to go when MK has extended park hours included with regular admission/emh.

I'll take a Easter week over October/September.

We went twice the last trip, previous trips was once. But, we were trying to get all the party characters as well as see the villian show, parade and fireworks. We got all but Jack and Sally (NBC) and three of the villains.:thumbsup2 We Trick or Treated a little and saw the villian show twice and the parade twice and fireworks from good spot once. We got all the special photo shots and rode HM. Would I spend that much extra just to go on rides, I'd have to say no. We have hopped over for dinner, the evening parade, wishes and then stayed for EMH and gotten to ride quite a bit especially if you can stay until the end.:goodvibes

It's hard to decide! it sounds like alike allot of fun. I will have a good look at my over all plan again

OP, I was just about to add you to my guest list thread, but the date you gave me (Oct. 25) is not a party date. Your name sounded familiar, so I searched it to see if I could get the correct date from another of your posts, and happened to notice that neither of the dates in the first post of this thread are party dates. I'm sorry I didn't catch it when I originally posted on this thread! Please let me know the correct date. :goodvibes
