Where do you dine(TS) when going to MNSSHP? I originally had Boma scheduled that day, 5:40 pm, but then realized that may not be a good idea(forgot about the party when scheduling :lmao: ). I know LTT fills up pretty quick and already scheduled that for another day, and I imagine most of the other close TS restaurants fill up to. Any tips? This will be our last TS and want something memorable, but don't want to miss the party either.

Thanks

You can eat at one of the restaurants on the monorail line. There all very easy to get to.

The Contempory, The Poly or The Grand Floridian. All have great restaurants. Before MNSSHP we had dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We got seats for the 1st sitting.

The only sit down reataurants that were serving that evening were Tony's and Liberty Tree Tavern. Frontierland and Tomorrowland did have a few of the table serve restaurants open.

You could eat at LTT, Tony's from about 3:30p through about 9:30p and then Crystal Palace, The Castle and The Plaza take ADRs through to 6:00p.

I prefer eating in the park while the park is close for the hour but you could eat anywhere between between 4:00p and 6:00p and be ready for the party at 7:00p.

I've also eaten at monorail restaurants which is a good option but I still prefer being in the park before the party even starts.

I agree with Beatty Family. It is much more convenient to be in the parks.

My first choice would be to switch LTT to the day of MNSSHP. That old colonial atmosphere coupled with the fact that the characters are in "costumes" - mostly masks, but it still adds to the ambiance. It just gives the feeling of a great old fashioned Halloween. Liberty Square is particularly appealing for this party...can't explain it, you'll have to experience it for yourself.

It's also a good location to be in when the party starts as you can get a photo taken at the Hall of Presidents, then hop on the Haunted Riverboat Ride and then find a spot for the parade. This is what we did a few years ago and it was a great plan!

If you really don't want to switch your ADR's -then my next choice would be Crystal Palace, followed by an earlier ADR at the Plaza.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

Since you plan on doing LTT during your trip...definitely try to switch it to your party night! If you can't ....we did CP last year before the party and it was fun. The food was really yummy. I'd eat in MK where ever you can get an ADR for before 5.

I had the same problem as you when I was trying to schedule in a ts before the MNSSHP. What I originally had planned was to have dinner at the Contemporary, then head over to the MK for the party. Then I thought, wait, if we wanted to dress in costume, we would have to go to dinner in costume. That didn't go so well with DF. So now we are having dinner at 5pm at our resort restaurant, going back to the room to change, and then heading over to the MK. I hope it works out. Good luck to you!

We had dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse last year before the party because we couldn't get an ADR in the park. There were other people who were eating there in their costumes.

pirate: Last year, we had a character dinner at Gulliver's Grill before going to MNSSHP. We changed into our costumes in the restrooms before heading over to the party. This year, we're thinking about eating at Tony's. Although Tony's doesn't get to many good reviews, we found the food to be very good.

We are going to do a TS lunch at the Kona Cafe so we can go to MNSSHP. We'll just grab CS for dinner.

I was worried about the reviews of Tony's also. I like the idea of scheduling a TS at lunch and the maybe a CS at Pepper Marker for dinner. Thanks for the ideas :thumbsup2

That's exactly what we are doing! :lmao: We got the last seating for lunch, which is 2:45pm. I figure we should be able to enter MK by 4:30pm.

We had the earliest dinner reservation at Kona, and were walking through the gates five minutes after the party started. The food was good, and we could have easily cut some time off. We changed in the Poly bathroom between courses.

A late lunch is a great idea - we did that when we had 6:30 reservations for Cirque. Boma doesn't do lunch, but with lunch you could eat pretty much anywhere and still make it to the party.

Is Crystal Palace available on party dates? One poster said it was just Tony's and LTT. I'm thinking of moving Boma to earlier in the week and switching 50's Primetime to a lunch on the party date. Do a CS at Pepper Market and off the party. We've never done 50's or CP, so this is my dilema. I don't want to switch LTT, I planned it for our first day. A character dinner along with MK on the first day seemed like a perfect start to the vacation. So far I have--

LTT-Switching Boma to second day-Le Cellier-WCC-and Friday is still up int air :lmao:

No, only LTT characters do that. It's masks or aprons that say "Boo" and Pluto wears a pumpkin on his head.

That is why so many want to eat at LTT.

MyGoofy26,
