Yes, they'll give them to you when you enter the park, as they are putting the wristband on you.

here's another question.... do we HAVE to use them?

I was thinking of having our kids "make" their own with a canvas bag, paints, stamps, etc.... can we use those instead? We will have our wristbands on...

Yes, many bring their own trick or treat bags/buckets!

My girls used their bags from home - how can Ariel not use her Founder bag in Disney World?? And Cinderella must have her crystal encrusted silver bag! Just make sure your child's bag is big enough and secure enough for al the candy - you saw the posted picture!

BUT - we, the parents, got the Disney supplied bags Yummy, yummy candy! It was great fun Trick-or-Treating as an adult

Are you dressing up as well? We have in the past, or I have just worn a Target Halloween shirt. It does make for a cuter family picture (you get a free 5x7 photo that will get mailed to you) I love the good feelings in the air at the MNSSHP!!!!

The bag is small and my DS didn't like the plastic handle so if you really want to Trick or Treat alot, bring your own or a backup. We had a drawstring bag the kids use for sports and would dump in there if theirs got too heavy or uncomfortable to hold.
