Anyone done both in one stay? I know the park transforms between the 31st and 1st but I don't remember when the Christmas parties start. If you've done both, was it too much? Did one ruin the vibe of the other for you? We were thinking of doing November for the Christmas effect but now this idea has crossed my mind. Thoughts?

1. Many DISers do that.
2. Well, sometimes.
3. Figure that the first MVMCP will be sometime about Nov. 7-9.

This discussion comes up yearly.
If you do a search you can likely find several of them.

We did in 2013. We were close to doing it this year, but left one day before the first MVMCP. The last MNSSHP and first MVMCP are usually about a week apart, so it makes it easy to plan both if you go that week. It was not too much, and we had a good time at both. I found I liked MNSSHP best, but a few family members liked MVMCP better. I would recommend doing both if it is in the budget.

We did last year I did not like the Christmas after the Halloween and I love Christmas at disney but not the party not sure if it was because we did Christmas day the year before or not we are doing Halloween this year

We did this last year. October 30th Halloween party (that way we could do resort stuff on Halloween. First Christmas party on 11/8. We all loved it and My kids thought it was so cool.

We're doing the same time frame again this year (my kids' birthdays are 10/29 and 10/30) but we'll leave a couple days before the first party. Well still get Christmas decorations at MK plus the castle being lit up.

We arrive on the evening of Oct 29 and leave on Nov 9, so it may be possible to hit both for the first time ever. I would LOVE to go to MNSSHP on one end of our stay, and MVMCP on the other. However, with the price of parties coming in around CAD$130/pp now, I think it's a pipe dream. At least I will get to see MK decked out for both holidays.
