Save Toontown until after the fireworks. We walked on to the Barnstormer and the only waits, which weren't even that bad were for photos with Mickey and Minnie.

If you see people with killer costumes, don't be shy about asking them to pose with you or your kids. We got a great picture of our kids with Jack Skellington (another guest.)

If you collect pins, there are special ones for MNSSHP. I bought one in 2002 and a friend of mine brought one home for me last year. This year, I'll be able to buy my own again. There are also special T-shirts for the event. I'm wearing mine from 2 years ago right now, as a matter of fact. These items are only sold during the party.

The headless horseman leads off the parade and if you aren't ready for him, you'll miss him. He's cool to see, but rides by quickly on horseback.

The special affects of ghosts on the castle and on Main Street are neat and there are tons of photo ops that are different from the normal ones during the day.

We got to ring the dinner bell last time at LTT. Our PS's were for 5:00. The servers are all in ghoul makeup.

Wear the right shoes. My DH usually changes his shoes at night to sandals. He did this for the party... not thinking that we'd be doing more walking than strolling the BW or going to dinner. He left after the fireworks. I got *home* to the BWV's, with the kids, around 1:00 a.m. They were still raring to go. I, Mommy, was pooped, but what a great time we had! Daddy promises to wear sneakers this year to the party.

Sorry - I have been out of town - I will now answer your question about LTT and MNSSHP.

What I did last year, was to book this PS at the time I called to order the MNSSHP tickets. I did NOT call Disney Dining - to my recollection - I believe I made them through the same people I called for the tickets OR they transferred me to Disney Dining. (Can't remember which??)

If you try to make these reservations independent of your MNSSHP tickets, it will not work.

Also, book an EARLY time so that you can finish dinner and then go straight to the party OR to Tomorrowland if you wish to go that early.

Hope this helps, but if I am not being clear - post again and I'll try to answer more promptly this time!!!

Did you get your MNSSHP tickets/LTT dinner ressies soon after party tickets went on sale? (i.e., before the usual 90-day reservation window for LTT would have begun?) If so, evidently the 90-day thing would not apply on these event nights? I suppose this would make sense seeing it is not an ordinary park night but a closed party event.

Order your tickets and make your dinner reservations early if you want to eat at a reasonable time at LTT. They sell out for the night and if you don't PS early, you won't get a more desirable time.

I have gone to this event on Halloween for the past two years, and loved it! Yes, it is a little more crowded on Oct. 31, but not too bad (I hate lines BTW). I go with a friend of mine who works at DTD (I usually treat her, as she lets me stay at her house when I come down). We have not done Liberty Tree Tavern, as she is a vegitarian (although I have eaten there before). We usually get there around 6 - 6:30 pm, and head over to Ray's in tomorrowland, and eat there. The first year we went, we were dressed up as a bowling team - we had matching mouskateer bowling shirts the we sold back in 1999 at The Disney Store. She wore jeans and I wore a poodle skirt. We got lots of complements! Last year, I went as Mulan, and a little girl ran up to me screaming "Mulan!" It was quite funny.

you have gotten some great advice here- go deeper into the park to get your photo taken; there is candy everywhere - they give candy to adults, too!; don't miss the headless horseman story in Liberty Sq (near the Hall of Pres.). My advice on watching the fireworks - ride Big Thunder! We did this in 2002 and it was AWSOME!

Still confused about how early you can make your PS's for LTT on an MNSSHP night. I'm going to buy our MNSSHP tickets as soon as they come on sale this spring. Looks like from some posts that the normal 90-day LTT window doesn't apply for MNSSHP. Can I actually PS earlier?

Yes, for the past couple of years they have let MNSSHP/MVMCP goers book ONLY LTT when they bought their tickets. The times will fill up fast! Some CM don't know about this so you have to keep asking till you get someone who knows about it.

At 90 days, other restaurants will open up like the Castle, CP and Tony's.

Last year, it took a couple days of the tickets being on sale to be able to book LLT. I remember I did have to call back.

I am so excited that people are excited about MNSSHP this early! It means that I'm not insane!

What I learned from last year.

LTT was the only sit-down place open for dinner.

PICTURES! Like an idiot, I didn't really plan for the parade and when we got seats near the castle I realized that there were HUGE stadium lights directly accross from me! Pictures were useless from where I was at, I was blinded the whole time! If you want pics, plan ahead for this.

We had almost no problem getting on rides lickety-split! We waited FOREVER to ride Peter Pan, which seems odd, but this was our first time riding this, so we waited. Everything else we walked on to! RIDE HM! A MUST!

If you're not paying attention, you might find yourself stuck on the wrong side of the parade. Try to be where you want to be when the parade starts (whichever one you don't watch). We wanted to cross over to Splash Mtn right when a parade started, not good timing.

Just have a great time! It was the best time I have ever had at the MK! Enjoy the lights and the music - look at the little things!

Crystal Palace, the Castle and Tony's have also been open for PS party nights for the last few years...I ate at CP just last year and also 3 years ago before parties.

Their last PS is probably 6:00p because they do all close earlier than LTT. LTT is the only one that stays open till at least 9:00p.

So my point is if you want to eat before the party and be done for the beginning of the party you can eat at all 4 restaurants, if you want to eat during the party (why would you?) then only LTT will be open then.

Do they only do mnsshp on Halloween weekend? The kids have a long weekend Oct. 15 and we were hoping this party would be going on.

We went last year on 10/24. It was fun! When they start herding everyone to tomorrowland walk through there and around towards fantasyland. We were able to enter through fantasyland really early (I think it was around 6:30) and walked right over to It's a small world for pictures (we were the only ones there). We rode several rides in fantasyland that were walk-ons. We got on the first haunted riverboat ride (don't miss this!) They had singers and a storyteller on board and they were great! It was the only reason we went to Disney in October as we usually go during value season but it was worth it!

Tigger I managed to track down my credit card bill for the tickets,just to give you an idea,the total bill for 5 adults & 2 kids + postage came to $190 (£120 on the exchange rate at the time).
