Never mind ... the costume dilemma is solved - she's going as Lilo: sundress, lei (we're staying at Poly, so easy to come by!), flipflops and a stuffed Stitch.

One thing one of the Photopass people told us (and sorry if it's already mentioned) is that once you get the special MNSSHP photopass card, keep using it. Any picture on that card you can then get 40% off when you order it online, even if the pictures weren't taken the night of the party!

I've yet to try it, but this weekend we're ordering a shot or two. I'll post back if it worked!

I pre-registered my PP card before we left and never used it! They issue a 'special' Halloween PP when you're there and they don't want Your PP. I ended up using the Halloween PP, but as someone else stated, PP people were scarce (except at the FEW staging spots)!

I noticed this too on Sunday night (even though *I* was also trying to keep my "eyes on the Castle" ). Have to admit that I didn't see anyone behaving "badly" despite the suggestive costumes.

Actually, you have to give some of them credit for sticking with skimpy outfits all night... I saw more than one "sl*tty Alice" give up the look for a hastily purchased sweatshirt.

True, true. I didn't see any bad behavior. Just lots of exposed gooseflesh!

We will have Photopass and interested in the pictures at both the hearse and the hitch-hikers at the HM. Where are those two photos taken and what are the lines like on a busy night (we are going on the 31st)?

Just attended the party for the first time last week and the best advice I can give you is don't miss that parade. It's better than any Disney Parade I've seen. Boo to You soundtrack is playing throughout and so many evil characters and good things to see. It made the night for me.

Does anyone have any tips on getting a picture with Maleficent? She's really the only character ever to be on my 'dream picture' list, as she's my favorite, but so rare. Tonight will be my first MNSSHP, so I'm just wondering if there are certain times after the villain show when I might have more luck in getting through the line to take a snap with her?

the best way to get Malficent is when you are looking at the castle there are to ramps to go up under the castle. the one ALLLLLL the way on the right ramp will be Malicents line. I believe it in the middle of the roped off area on the ramp but can't remember. Stay there till you see a chracter CM then ask them where does the line start. You want the EXACT spot.

I would ask a CM just to make sure

Hi everyone!

We just got back from our first MNSSHP on October 18th and had a BLAST. Four of us dressed up as the Village People and had a great time doing the YMCA and taking pictures with anyone who requested them.

We didn't do any trick or treating or special character meet and greets, but we did watch HalloWishes (great!) and see the 10:30 showing of the Boo to You parade which I loved, and I'm not even someone who usually watches the parades. I would recommend that if you want to get a prime viewing location, you get line at least 45 minutes in advance---especially if you are trying to get pictures.

Here are a few pics I thought I'd share to help anyone with a party date coming up get excited. If this isn't the right place for these, just let me know and I'll delete them!

So it worked. We ordered a picture that was taken at AK, but we put on the Halloween Photopass. So here's my tip: Hang onto your Halloween Photopass, put your pictures from the rest of the week on it. You'll get the 40% off when you order them online. (If you don't plan on ordering the CD.) If you stop in WDW to look at your pictures, you can get other cards put on the Halloween card. (like from earlier in the week!)

There is a bridge that leads from the Hub near the Castle over to Liberty Square, right near Hall of Presidents. We were on the Hub side of that bridge, right along the ropes in a corner, so we were the first ones with a view of all of the floats, etc. It was a great spot, highly recommended!
