Yeah, that's the one I'm going to. Not going to be dressing up, but I would bet the weather will be in the high 70s-low 80s for the party. Shouldn't be too bad really.

But you never know, that's just based on historical temps.

I will look for you all!!!! We will just be all in Disney Halloween TShirts and my DD will be a HSM cheerleader. She was going to be Giselle from Enchanted but I talked her out of it because I thought she would melt in it!

I hope that this hasn't been asked already! During MNSSHP, can you still have purchases sent to the front of the park to pick up on your way out as the party is ending? Or is this service unavailable during the party? Thanks for any responses!

Can't wait until the 31st!! :yay:

Went to 2 parties this week Tues. and Fri. Tuesday definitely MUCH better. I can break down the candy for you like this:
Oh, and there were usually 2 barrels set up and a 3rd a few feet behind them. The 3rd barrel was full of raisins.
50% Laffy Taffy
25% Now or Laters
25% Sweet Tarts
15% Suckers
25% Tootsie Rolls/ hard caramels
5% chocolate
5% other

Hit the candy spot in the Pirates League room and Diamond Horseshoe...they had the best candy.

its the in POTC gift shop. on the right wall as you exit the ride. its closer to the registers though. :]

Oh, ok, thanks! I know what you're talking about, years and years ago that used to be another room of the shop. I only vaguely remember it having lots of Peter Pan stuff, particularly a Skipper Barbie doll dressed as TinkerBell, and that was the older Skipper, when her eyes were still very round. :)

Looks like quite a few of us are going to be there next Thursday the 8th of October. I will look for the costumes and t-shirts mentioned. If you see a male and female viking (the Norway kind) with a little girl dressed as a viking cheerleader:cheer2: (the Minnesota football kind) be sure to say HI!!!

I didn't think I could talk my DD8 into being a viking with us and my sister and her family are dressing in a sports theme so we thought it would be a cute way for DD to blend with both themes!!!

I was disappointed that I couldn't find a special MNSSHP pin....were there any?

I got an 'ordinary' Halloween 2009 one instead.

We were there last night and we scored quite a bit of chocolate, so I'm surprised at the prior post. We did, however, also get a lot of Smarties. Not one Bit-o-Honey this time around!!

I looked for Copperbrick and her hubby, but didn't see them. I had on the Hell's Kitchen chef outfit (glow in the dark skeleton apron and a black chef's hat with Hell's Kitchen written on it :rotfl2:)

And .... way too many hoochie-mama outfits going on, really .... Complete with high heels or high-heeled boots.

Anyway, a good time was had by all last night. The highlight being my friend's baseball cap flying off of his head during the big drop on Splash Mountain ... and landing on MY head (I was sitting behind him). I wish someone had a video of it!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

hoochie-mama outfits? really? who're they trying to impress, mickey?
but then again...props to dressing up!

sounds like you had lots of fun!

Going Oct 8th.

Little update on family costumes:

Me - Brazil's Yellow soccer team Tshirt, green shorts and a black power wig.
DH - black and red short & t-shirt with scary red skull
DD5 - Tinkerbelle
DD3 - Pirate
My sister - Sorcerer

If you guys see our party around, please come say hi. I'm coming from far away (Brazil) and I'd love meet some DISer friends :woohoo:

Hello fellow MNSSHP lovers! We just got back today and attended two parties.

Friday Sept 25th: Crowded, hot and muggy! But we had a ton of fun, we focused on characters. Went down to meet villains after show got through 4 lines...stand all the way to the right for maleficant and then others are in middle, they stayed out for 20 min after the first show. Went to adventureland character room and it was crowded. Candy lines were pretty long, didn't go in them until later at night. We watched fireworks from main street (plenty of room) and parade from frontierland, loved the parade! Rode only a few rides. We also met alice on her trial and left at midnight. Just a side note we went to this party last year on the same date and nobody was there, go figure. We were Mike and Sully cast members were so nice about saying they loved our costumes, lots of people dressed up! On a pin note as we were leaving we checked the pin shop on main street and the mnsshp pin we wanted said sold out on it, i figured that meant for the night cause I had heard they put out so many per night and we knew we were going back so didnt' stress. When we arrived at the party last night we headed straight for the store only to be told they were sold out of that pin for good (LE 2000) and he had heard that the store next to Philharmagic still had some. Well five families dashed back there (we all wanted the same mickey as vampire pin) and they did have enough for everybody. However, I still don't understand why they weren't evenly distributed, ow well, we got our pin after all...

Fri Oct 2nd: Didn't arrive until 7 lots of people leaving park rode dumbo right away walk on and a few fantasy land rides. All rides were walk on this night, even rode by ourselves on a lot of rides. This party had no crowds at all! So much nicer than the Friday before. We met different characters than we saw the first night like white rabbit, queen of hearts and line for pooh characters was short. We walked in the adventureland room and walked right up to all three lines, where as the week before waited for a long time. We dressed as wall e and eve and got lots of compliments. It was also easier to get candy tonight. Watched parade from a sweet spot in liberty square, I was waiting in line for popcorn and they roped of area around liberty bell, we were able to stand along the black railing w/ nobody infront of us or behing us. Photopass had two magic shots by haunted mansion, a hitchhiking ghost pic and the carriage pic.

Overall, we are glad we went twice, it was hard to decide to do it though but so glad we did. We got to meet all the characters (except snow white and 7 dwarfs) line was so long at all times, we just walked by and took pictures of them standing there. Fireworks are great and the parade is the best. Have fun everyone, and I will answer questions... and post pics after I upload them....:cool1: It truly is the funnest thing to do in our opinion

We are! I will be dressed as Minnie, in a red and white top and a red tutu, DH will be Mickey with Groom Mickey ears, DS will be a policeman, and right now DD says she will also be Minnie, but that could change. We are also taking her Ariel & Cinderella costumes just in case she changes her mind.

so i have a curious question to anyone who has gone already, and went at about 4. were there other families that were deffinitley mnsshp attendees there at about that time? just curious if we'll stick out like a sore thumb or not.

I have so been wondering about that. Right now it looks like we will go on the 27th and have dinner at CP at 4:30. We will be riding disney transport and be in costume: DH and DS - vampires and I will be a witch. So how funny are we going to be in CP eating ... already decided no make-up or fake blood and leave capes and witches hat in back pack but still should be interesting...
