MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

We went to our first party on Sept. 25th. It was great! There were plenty of candy spots and I don't think we even hit them all. The lines for the rides were minimal. Certain rides are open in each section of the park. We walked right on Peter Pan's flight! I was so excited! I waited to get on the ride all week. Each time I passed by it was a least a 40 min wait! Anyway, make sure you catch the fireworks. They were awesome! We watched the second parade and there wasn't as many people. Make sure your wristband is where the castmembers can see them. They are checking everybody! They give out a map when you walk in along with your treat bags. Hope everyone has a great time!

Thanks. We are going next weekend but won't know until Tuesday, Wednesday, or even Thursday of next week if my DH can go, so I haven't bought his ticket yet.

thank you. anyone see jessie this year? i read she and woody were there last year, but i haven't seen any reports on them so far this year.

I went on the 11th. Jessie traded appearances with Woody in a building right next to the Liberty Tree Tavern (Diamond Horseshoe, maybe?). There was a TorT line there, too and Jessie or Woody was in the back area.

Re Candy:
We got the following in EACH bag:
Air heads
tootsie rolls and tootsie roll pops and chews
kit kats
snickers and mini snickers
lollipops
now or laters
whoppers minis
reeses cups
twizzlers
dots
butterfingers
chicklets
peanut butter crucnhy chewy things (!)
sugar babies
sweet tarts
and those wee ones like sweet tarts that I can't remember
eye balls with chocolate or peanut butter (handed out at the end of the night as we left and huge handful each!)
There might be a few others I have forgotten to add because we ate them! LOL!


Although there was more candy than chocolate (its HOT and its MELTS) we got a good dose of everything

Oh and although it was busy enough crowd wise there was enough room to move around, find a spot and see characters - the biggest lines were for Snow White/Dwarfs/cinderella/Minnie and Mickey.
Ride waits were short, plenty room to watch the parade and fireworks we found anyway!

it states you cant really wear anything that could be offensive to other guests.

Offensive costumes are not allowed and I think a Saw mask definitely falls into that category. It is a "not-so-scary" Halloween Party after all, not Universal Horror Nights. Mickey would not approve.

Saw does go against the idea of Not-So-Scary! I can't wait for MNSSHP! I'm going on the 6th with DollfieDreams. I'm her Wendy! I love that they have the dance parties going on! Those look like they'll be a lot of fun!
