MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

I've asked this before, but maybe someone has tried this now-

Has anyone gone to Mickey at 6:45ish? How many people were in line at this time? Were you able to see Mickey and then go to Minnie and if so, how was the wait?

As a general question, is there a way to find out the length of the line before you get in it or is it a judgment call?

you can line up for Mickey early..BUT he doesn't come out in costume until 7:00....Many times theres a CM outside the houses and you can ask what the approx wait time is.

Yeah, I know that he doesn't come until 7:00. My hope is that if we line up beforehand, we will be towards the front. I would just be so bummed if we line up at 6:45 and there are 20 families in front of us, ya know!

Good to know there are CM's outside the houses. Thanks!

The Cinderella carriage is just the carriage with no characters, correct? Is it there and available for pictures all night and what is the average wait time?

We did this for MVMCP last year. We got in line around 6:35-6:40pm. We were about 5 groups back. We were able to get Mickey, run to Minnie and only wait about 10 minutes for Minnie. When we walked by later the line for Minnie was SOOOOO long.

Good luck! I think we will skip Mickey and Minnie this year (saw them at Halloween party a few years back) and focus on Snow White and the dwarfs.

For the poster looking to not wait for Mickey, we were at the party mid Sept last year and found Mickey all alone on the way out of Main street (copied from post... Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween Costumes were at the beginning of Main Street, in a Gazebo, between Exposition Hall and the Train Station). This was around 10:30, he interactied with my DD5 for about 10 minutes all alone, it was really cute.

Hope this helps.

According to a Cast Member I spoke with, Donald is a great big pumpkin again this year (maybe the same costume as in 2007?).

Mickey was a jester in the parade..BUT for meet and greets he was a Vampire last year, Donald was a Knight in parade, not sure about the meet and greet all i have ever seen him walking around in is th pumpkin.
Anyone know what they are this year?

One thing I love about the party is how sometimes you get access into certain buildings that are not ordinarily opened during regular park hours. There is a "restaurant" adjacent to Pirates that I vaguely remember going into as a kid that is now closed. That was open one year for pictures and another year for candy. It was just so neat going into that place because I haven't seen the inside of it for so long and from the outside, it looks like a regular building in Adventureland!

Hi everyone!
I am thinking of going to the party on 10-6 but have concerns about the weather. Would you guys buy anyway and do the will call pickup or wait? I am not sure how fast these dates sell out.

Whatcha think?

we went to our first party on the 11th. It was so much fun. we were in line for snow white (my dd had seen her 3 times this trip and she is not her fav.) and a cast member came up an told up that the drarfs would be out in 5 minutes if we wanted to start the line for it....she didn't want too:confused3 she wanted to see snow white....i was so disapointed lol. we were at mickey and minnies house at 7:o5 and the line up was long the pictures were for my sake hubby and kids could care less so we skipped it. we got pics with buzz and hook. great parade we can't wait to go again

Has anyone tried the Dessert Party during the MNSSHP?
Is it a good view of the parade? The Fireworks?
What time does the Dessert Party start on a MNSSHP night?
And can you bring a stroller onto the Tomorrowland Terrace or is there parking elsewhere?

Do you recall what time it was that the dwarves came out? I'd love to see them but not wanting to spend an hour so if it's a long wait I will see them from afar...

We are planning to enter the park around 4. Need to grab something to eat before the party gets into full swing, and could not manage a LTT ADR. Thinking we might just go to Peco's Bill since DH loved the fixin's bar last time. It will probably be crazy and limited menu for the party (if open, didn't check), but at 4 pm does anyone know if it would be easy to grab a bite (not too crowded?) and get in and out quick?
Thanks :goodvibes!

We usually have dinner @ crystal palace @ 4:00 before the party starts. Last year we entered the park @ 4:00, but didn't have ressies @ Crystal Palace. As soon as we got on the porch to sit and wait for a table, the sky opened up. It was a deluge. We were seated at about 4:45, still raining. By the time we left Crystal Palace it was almost 6:00 and the weather was perfect. We didn't miss any time because technically, the party didn't start yet.

This year we have ressies at Tony's at 5:30. A little later than I would have liked, but again, we'll get into the park @ 4:00, do some rides and then sit to eat. By the time we get out, the party will just be getting started.

So to grab a quick bite at 4:00 or 5:00, you should be just fine:cutie:

We are planning to eat an early supper at Columbia Harbour House when we arrive at 4 p.m. for the 10/8 MNSSHP. It won't be open during the Halloween party, I believe it closes at 5 p.m. It is our favorite counter service at MK, has plenty of seating and you can get in & out quickly.

I saw the link for the party pins...but I'm confused. In the past, a different pin was made available for each party night! If they didn't sell out, you were able to purchase pins from parties that happened up to your party at the Exposition hall.

This year it appears there are a # of pins, all of which were available on 9/4...and presumably all of which are available unitl 10/31 or they sell out? Many don't even say MNSSHP on them.

Is this the case? You can buy any of the pins pictured in the link on this thread at ANY of the parties as long as they're still in stock? Seems to me the people coming at the end of Oct may find themselves out of luck for some of the best pins. :confused3 That's a shame.
