MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

I saw the link for the party pins...but I'm confused. In the past, a different pin was made available for each party night! If they didn't sell out, you were able to purchase pins from parties that happened up to your party at the Exposition hall.

This year it appears there are a # of pins, all of which were available on 9/4...and presumably all of which are available unitl 10/31 or they sell out? Many don't even say MNSSHP on them.

Is this the case? You can buy any of the pins pictured in the link on this thread at ANY of the parties as long as they're still in stock? Seems to me the people coming at the end of Oct may find themselves out of luck for some of the best pins. :confused3 That's a shame.

We won't be going to MNSSHP for a couple of weeks, but it is my understanding from people who have already attended that all the pins are available for sale during the party.

Thank you. I guess that's good if you're going in Sept. you have them all to choose from! But again, not so great for those going later....

Actually, I think they only put out a set number each night ... I know some people have commented that they have run out of certain pins, t-shirts, items, etc., and that they are not constantly restocking the shelves during the party. My guess would be they are doing this to make sure that they people who attend any party will have the same opportunity to buy souvenirs as everyone else.

cant wait for the MNSSHP and to help contain my excitement i found at Walgreens a bunch of Mickey halloween clings and some mickey head pumpkin lights. They also had Mickey pumpkin heads that are around 6'' that light up and mickey yard signs. Just thought i'd pass that along, they're SO cute.. oh and 4 different disney clings too.

Just want to make sure everyone is being able to enter at 4pm this year??

I amsooo hoping i dont disapoint 11others who willbe with me if we cant get in at 4pm,

We were at the 9/18 MNSSHP and had a blast! I would recommend it to everyone! We had such a great time.

I attended the first MNSSHP on 9/4 and was able to purchase all pins during that party. Also, we were let in the park at 4 p.m.

Where exactly do you need to go to get the pins that are exclusively sold during the party--both the regular pins and "special" ones likes the AP pins? Do they not open until 7? TIA. :)

My aunt and uncle are at the party right now, chatting with me on the phone. They love the party! They watched the first parade but now the parade is so empty people are sitting on the curb and then another 10 feet before the next family. She said it is not busy at all. They loved the fireworks! They have their bags half full of candy after trick or treating at 12 spots, they couldn't find the 13th one. They did get the toothbrushes in Tomorrowland in back of the dance party. They saw the headless horseman. Lines for Snow White and Cinderella's carriage are very long. They said the cast members are having a ball - singing, dancing and loving their jobs, all except one lady. I'm getting a play by play as the floats are going by, and I can hear the music . . . "Boo to you!" I love visiting Disney through others.

Hey, can you ask them if Snow White is appearing WITH the dwarfs, or if she and Dopey are alternating with the others???? I have heard differing reports.

Thanks!

Need INFO & can't read the entire thread b/c DS doesn't know we are going to WDW!!!! ONLY ON PG 16.(he keeps coming in the study & I can't minimize the screen fast enough.)

If you only go for MNSSHP, is there a stroller rental discount since you aren't there the whole day & you have paid for the party?

I haven't seen this one posted: If you watch the parade from Frontier Land, be sure and stand facing the river--in front of the porches of Country Bears, Diamond Horseshoe etc. . . .They light the parade with floodlights on top of the buildings and it makes it a little bit difficult to see and really difficult to get good photos if you are facing them.

Thanks for this excellent tip! We'll be there Friday night and will definitely keep this in mind.

aren't there 2 parades a night? does anyone know the time of the first one? :confused3 i think the last one is at 9:15 or 9:30. the parade is the #one thing not to miss. ::yes:: i am always afraid that i will be on a ride or too far away to see. the biginning is a no-misser because of the headless horseman and then the middle is a no-misser because of all the characters singing and dancing in costume. the villians are definitly a no-misser. and you can not possibly miss the grave-diggers. :yay: *wow* what a parade!
i try to see it at least once year and hopefully twice.:scared1:

If I remember right from last year, the first parade was at 8:15, but the Headless Horseman went through earlier then that. Can't wait for Oct. 25!!

There are two parades; 8:15p and 10:30p. You are right, it is a no-misser! :)

Snow White was there with all the dwarfs at the 9/18 party. The line was over a block long to wait to see them. They had them around a bench and you could sit with them for a picture. It was really cute!
