MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

No word yet on the maps, or any pics...if someone posts anything, I'll be sure to update the first page for everyone as soon as I hear or see something! :surfweb:

There is a blog on allears.net with a picture of the candybags which are promoting the Snow White movie. Lots of details and pictures!

Dance parties/characters seem new this year--different characters, different costumes, in slightly different locations. Still waiting for any more info on what characters are available!

Thanks for those! the blog on All Ears (the link listed above) has an awesome video of this year's parade at the end! :cool1:

Anxiously awaiting character report information.....

Thanks for the allears link - that was great!

So excited . . . so excited . . . so excited . . .

A question: Does Disney use the same decorations and parade music each year?

So excited . . . so excited . . . so excited . . .

For the most part, yes it can stay the same; for a few years, they'll use the same decorations and then they'll shake things up and add some some new ones. Also, a few years ago (2006, I think, not sure) they changed the parade music and a couple of floats and added some new characters.

where is the Boo to You parade download? I would like to hear it....I'm so excited about my trip...I wish I can go twice to the event so I don't miss anything..because I don't want to miss character opportunities..my son and I won't do any rides but I want to do the mix and mingles...

does anyone know if they sell the mickey mouse pumpkin candy holder there at the park? I saw an ad for the MNSSHP...and a little girl had it in her hand?

You can request the Boo to You parade music at this website:
http://www.subsonicradio.com

You can also buy the cd in the stores at WDW

Waiting to hear what people have to say about the party!!!:yay:

Woo hoo! I'm getting so stinkin' excited! We've never been to MNSSHP and this will be our first real family vacation to WDW. Last time we tagged along with DH who had business in Orlando for 4 days. The kids were too little to remember much of it and DH was only able to see the Magic Kingdom with us for 1/2 a day. I think he and I are more excited than the kids are at this point. :thumbsup2

Is there really a recap somewhere in these 72 pages? someone take pity on me and tell me which page it's posted on please:flower3:

Thanks for all of the info:lovestruc

Does anyone know if the lockers at MK are big enough to fit a football helmet and can you wear a football helmet to the party? (btw I'm going as Commander Keen) Also, can you bring a squirt/ray gun looking thing to MK for the party? I can understand if you can't. If anyone has any other suggestions for a ray gun they would be much appreciated. (or something that would be allowed in)

Oh before I forget. My fiance is going as Peter Parker and he was going to put the mask in his back pocket. He isn't going to wear it at all for the party. It's just a prop. Is he allowed to do that?

Sorry for the many many questions. I just want to make sure that I don't need to change anything.
It's my understanding that you cannot wear anything that won't let your face be seen. So if you remove the face guard from the helmet, it should be OK, but probably not if you dont.

They may not let you bring the mask in at all if it's actually wearable, since there's no guarantee that your fiance wouldn't put it on. You may want to use a different part of the costume as a prop.

I went to the party last night and to my suprise a lot of people had masks on! It was not really kids that had masks but adults and some of them were a little scary. They walked by CMs and I never saw anyone say anything (but someone could have said something later...who knows?) I even saw two people in full body suit animal costumes, like mascot costumes.

I cannot wait. This will be our 4th year doing ghosts from the Haunted Mansion at MNSSHP. We are 6 adults, no kids. This is our favorite time of the year to head down to Disney!

We will be attending two parties this year. We will go in costume on Sept 29th and not in costume on Oct 1st

Here is a picture of us from 2007 - Disney actually asked if they could take our pictures in the studio. It has, by far, been the best 'free' souvenier we have ever recieved!

Incredible costumes! Are you sure you don't want to dress up on Oct 1st instead of Sept 29? (That's when I will be there and I would LOVE to see you!) ;-) :worship:

Seriously, those costumes are awesome! :thumbsup2
