MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

I found some Disney halloween clings on ebay and got them for 99 cents. Pretty good deal. They also have these Mickey head votives I'm having a hissy for. One is a jack o lantern Mickey, one is a bat, and one is a ghost. Too cute! I don't have a Disney store near me so I have to get what I can where I can.

yes they are, They have several different clings. I chose the Mickey and friends design with the white back ground. They also have a black background and Pooh designs. They had a Jell one that was the vampire Mickey but with carrying it on a plane and them being so weird about gels I decided against it. The bags are nylon I believe and wasn't real thrilled about Tink design bu they have a drawstring which closes nicely for the rides. They have tons of other Disney Halloween decorations including little pumpkin lights shaped like Mickey.:dance3:

Ohh that is sooo exciting! We will be by a wallgreens this sat. Ill be sure to stop in to pick up a few things! We are Halloween camping the weekend after we return so Im going with a Mickey Halloween theme! The lights will be perfect to hang on our awning! Thnks for the info. I always seem to miss the Disney window clings!

Does anyone have a MNSSHP touring plan? Will we need one? Thanks! QUOTE]

Hi! I don't have an official touring plan, but I have a very detailed plan for my family for the night we go to the Halloween Party. I'd be glad to share!

I have a question of my own too. Does anyone know what kind of designs are offered as part of the free face painting at the party? I'm specifically looking for pirate and fairy. Thanks so much!

I'd love to see your detailed plan! I have a feeling I'm going to get all caught up in the excitement and forget things!

I spoke with a cast member earlier this week, and she told me that guests can move their tickets to another day. Hope this helps. Call the reservation line, they'll be able to assist you.

I took your advice and they were able to change the date over the phone :thanks::yay:

There is also a plan on or around page 7-8.

But would love to see what you have.

We are 12 people going. I have been but flet a little CRAZY that night and didnt know exactly what to do.

Id also Love to see it! (the touring plan)

where is the best place to watch the parade?

thnks netttii:goodvibes

I'd like to see the plan too- We are not going til next year so you can bet that I will be watching all ya'lls trip reports= learning the musts and what we can skip

Just finished reading the entire thread. This will be my first MNSSHP and because of you guys I now feel confident we will have a blast! A sincere and heartfelt Thank You to all of the kind people that contributed tips.

I'll type it up today and post it, okay? This is just in theory, so I hope it works! I took all the tips from this thread and tried to include everything that was important.

Thanks for sharing - where will you post your plan, hopefully on this thread? BTW, I just booked the Wishes Dessert Party on the opening night of MNSSHP for Sept. 4th. I'm worried that this is gonna cut int our "ride" time. So we definately need a touring plan. We had to schedule the Wishes party on the MNSSHP night, since our only other day at MK for us is Sept. 6th and that date was already sold out, either that or they are not offering it on that day due to the buffet scheduled in the same spot???:scared1:

I'd love to see a touring plan, too. I'm getting nervous about missing things because of lack of planning and crowds. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and it will be a blast!

Longtime lurker here. Finally gave in to the call of that "register" link... :thumbsup2

Just wanted to thank everyone for this wonderful thread. I am not a newbie to WDW, but this will be my first MNSSHP, so you can bet I'll be monitoring this thread heavily and investigating all there is to discover!

Thanks again for spreading the magic. :wizard:

Well I might be getting ahead of myself but just read a thread about the dessert party being extended through Nov. 1. I'm wondering whether this is offered on a MNSSHP night and how everyone felt about this. We have tickets for Oct. 31st the highest priced tickets. Now I wonder if somone can pay $23 to get into the dessert party and sneak into and enjoy the festivities that I have paid approx. 3x the amount for. I will be calling Disney tomorrow to check this out but was wondering if someone had any info. on how this will work. Will those without tickets be escorted out? I could have the wrong info. completely and they may not have the dessert party on MNSSHP nights.

Question- Are the princesses in their normal area and are they dressed up as well. I know that Snow White is out and about in the park but I was wonderin about like Belle, Aurora and Cinderella... :confused3

Are you freakin' kidding me? Mickey-shaped pumpkin lights? I thought you could only get those at Disney!

I totally forgot you told me this! I need to go in the morning after I drop the kids off at school! Thanks!
