MNSSHP Ticket Questions, Need HELP!

I have no idea where to post this so I am doing it here. Ok so my Hubby is deployed right now and when he returns in Oct. we plan on visiting Universal. We would like to attened the MNSSHP at the MK either Oct. 19 or the 21st. Since my husband is deployed I can not purchase the tickets in advance so I need to know the likelyhood of being able to purchase day of tickets. Also I need to know where to purchase the tickets, can the be purchased in the morning at the DTD guest services? Also I was just told that last year they were offering day of military discounts, does anyone know if this is true? We would really love to see this event so any advice anyone can give me would be such a help!

In my opinion, the days you chose, a Tuesday and a Thursday, make a walk-up a very good possibility. Yes to purchasing at DTD. If you do figure out your exact date to go, even a few days before the actual party date, it would be better for your peace of mind to get the tickets in advance by ordering online or by phone. Before the party, you could pick up the actual tickets at a Disney Will-Call ticket booth, which is right with the regular ticket booths.

Sorry, so far the military discount is just for dates in September. We military people were hoping for an extension of the discounts, but nothing so far. If I were you, I would subscribe to the 2010 Armed Forces Salute thread in case news comes in of extending any military discounts. Good luck to you and welcome home to your husband!
