MNSSHP Question?

Ok I have a question about MNSSHP....

DH and I will be arriving on Sept 22 (MNSSHP will be going on)...our package doesn't begin until Sept 23 (we are doing a room only on the 22nd)....can DH and I purchase tickets to MNSSHP without having a package for that day?

Yes it's a hard ticket event .

You use just that ticket for that event so no other park ticket ( package) is needed for it.

Another question.......what exactly goes on??? Are there rides open, is it just a trick-or-treat event, does everyone dress up or usually just hte kids?

There's a bunch going on- almost all the rides are open, there's a special parade, special fireworks show, and trick or treating. The park is decorated and there's lots of shows and entertainment. And yes, adults do dress up too- I've heard it'd about half and half, so if you decide to dress up or not, you'll be comfortable. The only rule there is that your face can't be covered. Have fun!

We went to MNSSHP last year, and loved it. Even though it lists on Disney's website that the party doesn't begin until 7:00Pm we were permitted to enter at 4:00PM on our tickets. The park closes to the day guest at 7:00 and everyone who is staying for the party is asked to enter one of the lands while the CM's prepare for the party. If you have a ticket for the party you will be given a wrist band that entitles you to stay and ride during the party. Last year we saw several guests without wrist bands trick or treating and riding rides, so I hope that the CM's become more strict with this, because they limit the amount of tickets for each night of the party which keeps the crowd size nice.

I am really looking forward to it......now that I've convinced DH to go.....I'm trying to convince him to dress up!
