MNSSHP or MVMCP?

I think we're finally going to do one of these this year...question is, which one? I do love Disney at christmas time, but we have to travel for a wedding the first week of december, so it narrows down our possible dates for the MVMCP. I want the best room discount I can get within October/November. Looking at things historically, it seems like there were discounts offered up to the first week of november and then it gets spotty with lots of blackout dates. We will want to stay at least 7 days, so I don't want to have a hassle getting a discount for all of my dates. I'm an AP holder and a visa cardmember, but otherwise don't have any special discount opportunities. Any thoughts on when I should be looking to travel and which party I should try to attend? TIA!

I'd do Halloween over Christmas any time. Nothing like seeing the Headless Horseman ride through the parade route! You can hit Food & Wine during the Halloween season, too.
