MNSSHP noise level?

We are trying to decide if we want to buy tickets for MNSSHP for our Sept. trip. The only thing holding me back from buying them is the question of the noise level. Our 11 year old is autistic. Although noises don't normally bother him, the last two times we were at MK, the nighttime parade (Spectromagic) was extremely loud and seemed a little overwhelming for him. The descriptions that people give are that there is music playing throughout the event. Is the music during the event very loud? How does it compare to normal disney music that is usually playing. Also, is the Boo to you Parade as loud as Spectromagic?

I actually find MNSSHP to be very calm. I think because it's so uncrowded. I go almost every year and have never really noticed music playing...so it must not be all that loud:confused3 The parade may be a little loud though. Definitely no louder than the other parades, (but ALL of the parades are a little loud). I also find that Hallowishes is louder than the regular fireworks, so I'm not sure how he would react to that. In general though, I think MNSSHP is a much calmer experience than a regular day in the park.

The only time I found the noise level to be loud was when we watched the Villains show at the castle. There's some pyro that might bother your 11 year old. Hallowishes might be loud in front of the castle but we were near Thunder Mountain RR when the show started.

Boo to you has music throughout the parade and it can be pretty loud ( no louder than Spectro) but if you thought that was loud this will seem loud too.The fireworks are also loud with music as is the villains mix and mingle show

We haven't done Halloween yet, but we do the Christmas parties....It was a lot of action and music, and my son did cover his ears a few times but was laughing at the same time.

We tend to have more problems with specific noises, and not noise level. The clicking noise on Big Thunder Railroad is a big one. The other riders must laugh because I after all these years, an hundreds of rides I have it perfectly timed to plug my boys ears with my fingers.

Thank you all for your replies. Now I just have to make a decision. I may try to take headphones for him to wear during the parade. I would hate to pay for tickets and then miss the parade, since I've heard it is one of the best. Thanks again - Summer

I have heard the headphones can be great, my son just won't keep them on. I wish you the best of luck !!
