I've read before that no full face masks are allowed at the MNSSHP. But I've only read that on forums, I've never seen it written on the tickets or anything. The Disney ticket website only says "For safety, please choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive."

But while researching costumes I came across these guys

Now, you can hardly get more full face mask than that.

Or this, maybe not completely a mask, but pretty close

I've also seen Darth Vader and stormtrooper costumes, and quite a few of faces with prostetic noses, ... and some pretty creepy make up like this one

(there are far less creepy masks than that)

So what's the real deal with face masks? :confused3

We saw Darth Vader and 2 storm troopers with full on helmets, so I think masks are fine.

I'm pretty sure it said on our tickets that no full face masks were allowed - so we were also surprised to see plenty of people wearing them when we got there.
If it does say it anywhere in writing it is certainly not something they enforce at the gate

my nephew wore a spiderman costume with mask, and his dad wore a skeleton costume with mask 2 years ago with no probs,
now last yr they both wore the same costumes and after a while were approached by 2 official looking men in suits obviously wdw personnel who told them to remove their masks as it was not allowed.
