I'm hearing that the rumor of NO 4:00PM admission for this years Halloween and Christmas parties is true. Admission time will be 7:00PM. :sad2: This is, of course, if Disney has a change of heart over the next few days and decides to change it back to 4:00PM.

The official word will be coming out in a few days, but it sounds like it is going to happen. :headache:

That would stink... It's nice to be able to plan on dinner in the park before the hard ticket event.

Aaron, do you mind if I ask where the rumor came from? Not that I would put anything past Disney, but I just can't believe Disney would make this change without making it clear (yeah, I know) before this. There are so many people who have made ADR's for before 7pm based on CM's telling them they can enter at 4pm, it will be guest relations nightmare at those turnstiles. Again, it's Disney, so I suppose anything is possible, but I just can't believe they will change this now.

There is a 20 page thread about this on Theme Parks board, it is just about the funniest thread (funny as in "are these people serious?") I've ever read on the DIS. It starts out about the 4pm entry then somehow turns into a debate about whether or not it's stealing to watch Wishes from the Poly beach if you aren't staying at the Poly and last I read they were talking about Disney charging for breathing "Disney air."

I agree. I don't know what they are losing or gaining by possibly making this change. I guess they want guests to use an extra MYW day instead of just waiting until 4:00PM to get in. Maybe guests will decide to go at park opening instead of waiting until 7:00PM. Maybe that is their thinking.

All I know is if this holds up I wouldn't want to be a front line Cast Member at the turnstiles of the Magic Kingdom. It could get difficult.

Hey Lisa,
I can't really elaborate where I heard it from. It's kind of funny, but this rumor surfaced last year and it never came to pass. Fast forward to this year and the same rumor surfaces. Many, even myself, shrugged it off thinking it would never happen; especially since the same rumor surfaced last year. But, apparently, it's true this year. (again, unless Disney has a change of heart last minute).

It's kind of funny to watch certain threads evolve. Threads are somewhat like human conversation sometimes. They can drift and sway depending on the people you speak with.

I'm not sure what's going to happen with ADRs, but trust me, I understand what you are saying....It could be a logistical nightmare. That's why I'm saying it's possible Disney may have a change of heart last minute.

I wouldn't put it past Disney to change the rules AFTER selling 1000's and 1000's of pre-sale tickets to people who all think that they'll be able to get into the Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm

I'd like to be there just to watch the entrance gates on that first night of MNSSHP :scared1:

We have never just used a party ticket and not a normal ticket on party days. It would be nice if they closed the park a bit earlier to make sure that non paying party goers are not in the park.

that is just a rumor. they've announced it on the DIS pod cast confirming 4pm is the entry time.

the people starting the rumor that it starts at 7 are the folks that plan on being in the park that day (with no party tickets for that night) and dont want all the party go'ers to clog all the lines at 4.

just my opinion though :)

Just for the heck of it, I know this means absolutely nothing, I just called and asked a couple questions about MNSSHP and before I could even ask the CSR told me that with an MNSSHP party ticket I could enter the park at 4pm.

I wonder what will happen to those who have ADR before the party? I can't see Disney turning them away.

We went last year and had a blast. We were already in the park at 4pm. I havent decided yet if we will attend the MNSSHP again this year. Over $200 is a lot of money to spend for something we have already done. The only part about getting in at 4pm is that you cant buy any MNSSHP merchandise until 7pm sharp. That made me crazy! I wanted my MNSSHP shirt BEFORE the party started so I could wear it.

I still think there is some internal confusion about the possible change. Just my opinion. But like I was saying with the internal confusion and guest frustration Disney may have a change of heart.

Aaron, please don't think I was doubting you, I just can't believe they would do this. Not even just because of ADR's, but people who little girls have BBB appointments to get them ready for the party or even just people all dressed up in costumes showing up at 4pm and being told they have to wait 3 hours to get in?

Because that's gospel.
They are often right, but if CM's themselves are wrong, then the information received from them would logically be up for skepticism.

i believe they cut off all adr's for 5pm, i might be wrong. i actually tried making an adr the for 10/26 ( i will be at the party and i wanted to eat in the park) but nope! cant do it.

I haven't listened to the show just yet. I hope everyone understands I'm just posting what I heard. I'm not trying to go against the grain or anything here. This is all just discussion forum type stuff. Sometimes I'm guilty of following the parks too closely. Call it my obsession. It's why I'm on the boards a lot....Well, that and hundreds of my best friends hang out here. :)

I made one at 4:20 on our MNSSHP night, Oct. 28th.

Again, it makes no sense why they wouldn't let people into the park. Remember, more people in the park = more dollars being spent. Disney is not going to tell people "You're not welcome to come in and spend your money".

We've heard the rumors as well, but CM are still giving out the 4:00pm information.

That's what was stated on the podcast. We were told when purchasing our tickets, that we would be allowed entrance at 4:00pm.

Whether this information is right or wrong is to be seen.

I do think that if Disney decides to blindside guests arriving at 4pm with a 7pm entrance time, then they will have quite a Guest Relations issue.

In my opinion....Disney will not do this. It would be a nightmare.

This would all change if Disney makes an official policy announcement regarding hard ticket event entrance times.
