What were your highlights from MNSSHP?
What have you always made sure you did when you attended?
anything that must be done?

(Yes I have seen the info/list but Im wondering what made the night special for you?)

The highlights for us were trick or treating and riding splash mountain in the dark!!!

You absolutely HAVE to see the Headless Horseman riding down Main St. That is one of the coolest things we have EVER seen at WDW!

Enjoy yourselves...

Agree with above posters. Parade is a must (headless horseman very cool). SPLASH in the dark is great and we did not have more than 5 min wait all 3 times we went on it. The Toon town area is fun if you have little ones, but gets very crowded. Make sure you get a photo with the golden carriage set up behind the castle-we also saw Fairy GM and Cinderella there.

I agree with this...the headless horseman is the best thing about MNSSHP, in my opinion. Here is a tip, can't remember which website I found it on...

10 minutes prior to the Parade Start time, Mr. Knickerbocker takes his place in front of the Liberty Bell and tells the story of the Headless Horseman. At the time he finishes the story, the Horseman begins his gallop through the Magic Kingdom. Once the Horseman has cleared the entire parade route, the parade begins on Main Street!

Make sure you check out the dressed up characters!! Pooh & friends were back at the character meet & greet across from Poohs ride, and Mickey & Donald were back in Toon Town, as was Minnie who was in the garden behind her house. They were all in costume and the kids just loved that!!

I agree about the Headless Horseman - definitely cool. I got a pretty decent picture of him last year, but can't figure out how to post pics on here. If I figure it out, I'll post it here. Riding Space Mountain at 11:45 pm with no lines and barely any people was pretty cool also. Try to check out Philharmagic too since it won't be nearly as crowded as during the day, and the decorations and music really give MK a different feel.

I will say sorry now for my stupidity but could someone please tell me what MNSSHP stands for!!!! I've been reading about this for weeks and have NO idea what it is. I'm afraid I'm missing something. Thank you

The Headless Horseman sounds really cool! Is there a better spot on the parade route to get a look at him? I'd love to get a picture for my scrapbook :p

Take time and enjoy all of your surrondings. Disney does a great job (as always) in theming this whole event. Look at the pumpkins and corn stacks, the "mickey bats" flying around and the music playing in the background. Also if you are into pins, they sell exclusive (different) pins each MNSSHP! We started a collection and just love them as they are so unique and special!
Enjoy and take lots of pics!

The Headless Horseman is VERY cool..I did a fortune teller one year that was fun. Try not to focus on getting all the treats from the treat stations the lines can be long at times and you could be missing something. The last trip we made for MNSSHP this was easy to do as dd had turned 3 during the trip so she didn't catch on that we missed a bunch of candy-we did get some. I also noticed that characters that aren't usually seen may be around. CIndy's glass coach is beautiful a must photo op. I love MK at night and I love Halloween so this is THE perfect time for me the time flies by and it's just sooo much fun...Have a GREAT time:earsgirl:
