***MNSSHP! Let's get excited together!***

Hallowishes, thank you for all your amazing parade photos! They're sure to get everyone excited!! And now I have "Boo to You!" going on inside my head... :rotfl2:

no problem! im happy to be getting all excited for my fourth year of MNSSHP! :goodvibes We are all going to have a blast!!! :wizard:

We are so excitied we are going in the fall for the first time. Boardwalk villas 10/31-11/5. Does the 10/31 MNSSHP sell out quickly?

No, it doesn't. Usually not till at least August/Sept. If you really want to go that night, buy your tickets by August and you should be fine. :thumbsup2

Question here:

I've read that even if it rains heavily, the event still goes on and money is not refunded. Is that really true?

With four kids, I don't think we'd try to go during heavy rain, but if the money has already been spent, what could you do?

I do think that is true. The party will go on... and no refunds.

My family and I are attending MNSSHP in September for the first time! We are going the week of Sept. 14 to Sept. 21. Would it be ok to wait until we got there to buy the tickets or should we buy them in advance? I thought since it was an earlier party in September we would be ok? I am loving this thread by the way!

I would think it should be okay if you waited to buy the tickets there. They will be more expensive if you wait to that day to buy them. Just keep that in mind.

We are going to Disney 9/13 - 9/18 and are planning going to the MNSSHP then.

It's just my husband and I and I want to dress up. I'm trying to get him to dress up too (nothing extravagant, just something to get in the spirit of things). He thinks since it's over a month before halloween, we'd be the only adults dressing up. Can you guys help me with this? Do adults dress up, that far before halloween? How is the party in mid-September?

So excited to be going to my 1st MNSSHP!

Thanks for your help!

On 9/29/09, there weren't many people NOT dressed up. Adults included! :goodvibes

We've always hit WDW in the summer. This will be our first fall visit. We'll arrive on October 1st. My boys, 13 and 10, probably won't want to dress up. Will they still have fun? Can they still get candy?

They will still have fun. And yes, they will still be able to get candy. There will be face painting there so, if they have the sudden urge to get in the spirit, you can easily come up with a pirate look or something.pirate:

Last year was the first year for my sister and me to go. We absolutely loved it, and will be going again this year. I found the "Tips, Tricks, etc." post from last year very very helpful as a first timer. I researched everything for the 2 of us, so she wouldn't have to worry about it, but I was able to do so without spoiling too much for myself - so glad of that! We went on November 1 last year and it was warm, but not too bad. We can't wait to go back!

DH and I are so excited to go this year. I went a few yrs ago with my daughter and fell in LOVE.

DH has never been and I'm very excited about sharing it with him. Boo to You is honestly the BEST parade at WDW, in my opinion!

No costumes, I asked DH and he'd rather not, but that's okay, i know we'll still have a great time!

Thanks for the tip! Here's my pics!!!

In general there are no refunds for rain, however, if they cancel the fireworks or the parade or shows due to rain, they will usually work with you. They've done a free one day ticket or a ticket to another party night and some were able to get a refund but there really are no guarantees.

If you are really worried about rain, you could always wait to buy the tickets till the week of or the day of and watch the weather reports.

Last year was the first year I bought the tickets at WDW..I used to order them over the phone. We went 9/22 and had no problems getting tickets-I kind of like doing this because I could check the weather..there were going to be 3 parties while we were there, so I was able to choose based on the forecast.

I took what I think is my best Boo to You parade video last year..I just have to tweak it a little, and I'll put it up on Youtube.

Still debating if we are going-last year was our 3rd time in 4 years and we decided then to give it a rest for a year but I remember how much I wanted to go when we got down there the year that we skipped. I have 2 weeks to make up my mind:confused3wish me luck

I went in Sept last year and it rained. The parade was late starting and then when it did start no headless horsemen. The villians show was cancelled so they could clear the stage for the second show. the rain stopped and we did see Hallowishes, the second villian show and we trick or treated. We had the best time and can't wait to go back this year

I'm hoping we can go this year. The last 2 years we arrived the Sunday before Labor day and left the Friday after and both years they had MNSSHP the Friday before and the Friday after Labor Day. This year we're arriving the Friday before (have an early flight) and I'm hoping we'll be going to MNSSHP that night.

Since I hear they let people in early (4pm) for MNSSHP I'm planning on reserving an early dinner in MK that night and then we'll be there for the fun. Since it's so hot that time of year I'm trying to think of a "cool" coustume for my son (3). A simple one I was thinking of was to get him a pair of red shots and a black t-shirt and yellow crocs. I can add to big yellow felt buttons to his shorts. He can wear his Mickey ears, I'll get a pair of the Mickey Gloves when we get down there and some black makeup on his nose.

Peter Pan canalos be fun - green cut off shorts, green T-shirt brown crocs, a smal sword, hat, etc.

Depending upon how "game" mys sister and husband are we can either get matching t-shirts or do more like the Mickey outfit (Blue shorts, orange t-shirt, brown vest and Goofy Hat, Whit shorts, blue sailor shirt, yellow shoes & Donald Hat, stuff like that).

First I need to find out if they'll have it on 9/3!

I love these ideas!!! Very Creative! Mind if I borrow one? I'm going in October for MNSSHP.

First time for us this year, hopefully during the first week of Sept.

Being a total MNSSHP noob, a couple of questions:

1) When buying tickets, do they have to be for a specific night?
2) How soon should we get in line for photos with Snow White and the 7 Dwarves?
3)Will I need another suitcase to lug home 10 pounds of candy?
4) Does Cruella still come out with the villains?

Myself, wife and daughter haven't decided on costumes yet, but Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tink may happen, but also Huey Dewey and Louie is also possible.

What restaurants are open during MNSSHP? Debating on whether to do something quick before or something during. Not sure how tuckered I'll be though, since I'm most likely going the day I arrive. They only have 2 the week I'm there, Tues and Fri, and I figure Tues will be less crowded. Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, how late does the party go?
