I have bought tickets for MNSSHP for Sept. 29th .... Do I need to have been at Disneyworld(MK) that same day in order to get into the party? I'm asking because I do not have hopper tickets...I have 4 days of parks @ 1 park a day....and I'm intending to be in Hollywood Studios that day & then go to the MNSSHP party. Is that going to be ok?

Pls. help ... I'm a bit confused by all these new things...I have not done the MNSSHP before.

No, you do not need to be at MK during the day in order to attend the party. The MNSSHP ticket will get you into MK as early as 4:00, and that's the only ticket you need.

You may want to check, but I believe you need to purchase a MK ticket along with your MNSSHP ticket. Which may mess with your plans being you don't have hopper passes. I'd hate to see you miss out because of confusion. as for Karens post she is right with not needing to be in MK all day.

Dex- thats not true- a MNSSHP ticket is a seperate ticket. You do not need a park ticket too. Unless you are going into the party before the 4pm start time.

We are not getting tickets for the day of the party-- we are resting and getting ready to stay and play all night

We won't be in MK before 4pm for the MNSSHP, so we should be all good it sounds like.

What do you mean by 'stay and play all night'?

I want to arrive at 4pm and stay til it closes and be one of the last out of the park--but will have a 4.9 year old grand daughter and hope she can hang like that. She will dictate what happens

If it were me, I'd only stay at Hollywood Studios until about 12:00 or 1:00, then get a good nap before Mickey's party. For 2 adults, that's what what my DH & I always do.

That's a good idea, too...the nap. My daughter's are 8 & 5. :thumbsup2

I personally wouldn't buy a ticket to go to another park that morning unless you have it already. To me, party days are a way to enjoy your resort for that morning time, so often we spend so much time in the parks that we don't take time to enjoy or explore the resort. On the day of parties, I usually hang out at the resort pool with family and then head over to DTD for a meal. After browsing around there for a bit, we head back to the resort to relax a bit, get party tickets, and off we go to get to MK before 4pm. It takes a little bit of time to get through security, so that we are in the gate by 4 and stay till midnight. Enjoy yourself whatever you decide to do :goodvibes

Great advice! I'm getting off a 7 nt Magic cruise Halloween morning and we have tickets for MNSSHP that night. Maybe we should "rest up" from our cruise and then head out for MK. Dh thinks we should spend all day at MK and then do the party until closing. Now, do I look like I'm the energizer bunny...NO. We're staying at SSR. How long will it take us to get to MK?

Keep the advice rolling. It really helps everyone. Thanks...

We will be there that night too. Look for the Tinkerbelle mom and the Jasmine DD. The party is my favorite thing to do at disney. My DD5 stayed up the entire time the last 2 years and that was without a nap, so you should be ok, it is so much fun they usually stay awake.

we have a 6 yr old DD and usually sleep as late as possible and relax and swim that day...and then rock MNSSHP till midnite!! We will be at the Oct 27th party...who else will??
We never use a ticket to be anywhere on party days, save it for another day!

:)So to answer YOUR question, u can be in any of the 4 parks with your regular -non hopper ticket...and then use your SEPARATE MNSSHP event ticket at MK for the party.:wizard: Enjoy!!

Another fellow dis'er who will be at the Oct. 27th mnsshp........I am beginning to think that it will be nothing but us Dis'ers....have a great night, I know that we will!!

First, You will LOVE the MNSSHP! It is awesome.......and we will be going again in October.....

Second, NO, you do not need to use a day on your ticket to be able to go to the party, because you pay for the party ticket separate. Its like getting a bonus day at the Magic Kingdom, because they are open until midnight that night and all of the rides and most of the park is open that night. There is soooo much to see that night and you will see characters that you dont normally see at the parks regularly. Enjoy!!!!

We will be there on the 27th too! It's my DGD's 6 birthday that day and DH's 60th! We are going to do nothing all day but chill at ASMU. I managed to get Chef Mickey ressie for 5:00 and then monorail over to MK. Even if we don't get in the park till 7:00 thats okay. I heard it looks great from the outside with the fog, etc. so I think I did good!
Haven't decided what to wear yet, plus DH doesn't even know he is going yet. Have a great time

for give me for asking... but for the party nights are all the rides open? i thought i read some where that the close them.

thank you for the answer :) we will be there oct 8th for the party :) can't wait

Most of the rides are open, but not all.

This page has a list of the attractions that were open in 2008. They're also shown on a MK map here

DW and I will be at the party (our first one) on Oct 27 also! Celebrating our 10th anniversary at F&W w/o the kids!!! Woohoo!!!!!

See you there!
