MNSSHP - Here's What Happens!

KellyJ,

Thanks so much for the help. I think I'll see how she does with the pararde and then decide how to take it from there. Thanks again!!!

Should my kids bring their own Trick or Treat bags or are they available at the park? I would think disney provides them but would like to know so I can be prepared. Also, my DS7 does not want to dress in a disney costume. He's picked out something from a japanese anime series. Will that get us kicked out?

You'll be handed plastic-y candy bags as you enter the park, and I think I remember seeing plastic Mickey trick or treat pumpkins for sale last year. And no, dressing in a non-Disney costume is perfectly fine!!

Thank you so much for starting this thread! Did you start one for last year? I think I read it and was hoping you would start a new one.

Thank you... Thank you... Thank you... Thank you!!!!

I was tickled to find this thread :)

My Mom and I will be attending the Halloween Party on the 16th - wait... WooHoo!!!

ok... got that out of my system:rotfl:

I have been to WDW too many times to count, but this will be my first MNSSHP. I'm curious about the face painting. We were thinking of picking up Minnie Mouse Headbands (if they still have those), wearing matching t-shirts and shorts and painting our noses black.... BUT... I wondered if they would do anything to "paint" us like Minnie???

I know this is not an all out costume like alot of people do, but we're old and it about all we'll have the energy to deal with and we'll really enjoy doing it too.

Also... if you think we can do it... where do they do the face painting?

Thanks for any help!!!

Wendy

Thanks for posting your thread...I'm not afraid, I'll say it, sometimes it IS annoying to see the same posts over and over again...however, I think if the search function were improved a little, it might cut down on the redundancy.

Don't feel bad...every thread here has the potential to turn negative at the drop of a hat...just letting you know that I appreciated the effort you put into your post.

I think all the info was fantastic! I am attending my first MNSSHP on Sept 23 and I have no clue what so ever to expect it has been really nice to read about what everyone has to say and when I read yours I got to look at all the pictures and now i am so so so excited to attend it!!!!! Thanks for all the great help and excitement!!!

Hi, I'm going on Sept 23rd too. I went back in 2002 and had a blast. It was me and my 2 teen boys and we ran rampant. By the last hour the park was empty. We rode everything so many times I lost count. Can you say no lines late in the party.

Does anyone know the dates of previous years' parties? I was just there 8/23-8/31 and have rebooked for next year 8/29-9/5. I'm just wondering if it always runs from the beginning of September or only begins after Labor Day, which was very early this year. Hoping this will be one party we can catch next year. Thanks!

we have loved this party twice in a row(2 diff years!) We did NOT dress cuz I thought we would look like silly adults, but LOTS and LOTS of adults are dresses, u will not be alone!:goodvibes I truly wished we had dressed pirate: :thumbsup2
Parade was the highlight for us,fabulous parade.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

During the party we attended tink was replaced by a flying witch, cool detail!

Minnie was in a witch costume hidden behind her toontown house, in her gazebo taking pix-it was an adorable photo op.

Our experience was, CMs handed out treat bags along Main St and treat stations here and there, but we didnt collect much candy, note* this detail was fine with us cuz we were there for experience, not for the candy. We had a BALL!!!

Does anybody know which characters are at each character spot and which is the best order to do the character meet and greets?

What do you all think I should dress up as? I want to be Ariel but want like a land outfit...what should I do?

Thanks for all the info and great pictures!! It took a long time to talk myself into getting tickets for next Friday, the 12th. DH and I do not like to dress up, and have always "skipped" Halloween (we clean up at the after-Halloween candy sales, however). But I think we will really enjoy the party, even without costumes. Sounds like the whole atmosphere is just amazing.

On a negative note, who knows what the weather will be like next Friday? What are the chances the whole thing is cancelled (and non-refundable, I might add!) Or just the fireworks? Hate to be so down, but I will probably never get another chance like this again. :sad2:

They claim the party will still go if the park is open. However, last year at least one night stormed so bad they still had the party, but gave free park tickets to any essentially anyone who asked as a comp since they ended up canceling most of the shows and such. No guarantee they will do something similar, it's all up to them.

MNWDWMANIAC in the bottom corner of your Haunted Mansion picture, It looks like you captured a picture of female ghost :scared1: it looks like she is sitting with a fan in her hand, or am I seeing things???????

LOL! I'm not MNWDWMANIAC, but yes, they have a "ghost" right there.

Does anyone know what time Snow White and the Dwarves are in Fantasy Land? I know they are right there near Dumbo, but what time?

Lynn5700- This might be a useful site, it has a bunch of ideas of costumes people have made...maybe you can find something there. I can not sew so my kids usually do an easy Disney costume since it can be hot there in October...we are doing Tigger and Pooh...ears+shirts=happy, not sweaty kids :thumbsup2

I also found this one on Disneyshopping.com http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DSIProductDisplay?catalogId=10002&storeId=10051&productId=1233537&langId=-1&categoryId=11872

This is great thank you, I like it when everything is in one spot because I get worried I miss important information that I never knew I needed to know if I am not on here for a couple of days.

Thanks for putting the work into it.

Kirsten
