Now that the dates are out for MNSSHP, I see that it will be happening 3 nights that we are there! We really weren't going to go though. My soon to be 7 year old DD is not into dressing up and trick or treating (she didn't even want to go trick or treating last year, so she stayed home and handed out candy) and she's kind of scared of the characters I think and anything scary! So we'd probably be better off to stay away wouldn't you think? I thought it might be a chance to ride some of the rides with less crowds or will it be more crowded? I was going to try and talk her into dressing up with me and going. Anyone have any advice?

I personally loved visiting MNSSHP for the first time last year. I don't know that I will do it every year, but going once was pretty cool. We do not have any kids however. The reason we liked it is because we had an excuse to get dressed up and see the magic kingdom a little differently than we are used to. (we live in Orlando)

If your daughter doesn't like to dress up and is not into trick r treating, I'm not sure this would be worth the money for your family.

Have fun on your trip!

My Ds wouldnt get dressed up for the party when we went in 2004. He had just turned 4 about 2 weeks before we went. There are plenty of places to get candy there and it isnt scary at all. There are places to get your face painted for free and you can get a family picture for free too. The parade is different than spectro .

The lines for rides are much shorter than regular park hours.

This Might be just what she needs .

It's soooo fun and lots to do if you decide not to do T & T or Chars.

Dancing and just a real good theam for the night.

Hi

Where have you got the dates for MNSSHP from please. I didn't think they'd been released yet.

Go. You will be kicking yourself if you don't. See the report at the bottom of my signature from October of 2005.

You will need a separate ticket for MNSSHP-its a "hard ticket" event so even if you have been in the park all day you will be turfed out at 6 without a ticket and wristband to prove you've paid. I'm British and we don't go in for the whole Halloween thing like you do but I've been twice, its great fun, the characters dress up (Go to ALLEARS.COM for piccies to show your little one) and yes most of the adults are dressed up. The parade and fireworks are different to normal ones and really good-don't go on a weekend night though as the locals tend to turn up for those.

The were first up last night I think. Now just waiting for the regular hours. Maybe today?

IMHO, these dates are still 'tentative' and 'unofficial' until Disney actually releases them themselves so changes could be made to the dates by the time they officially come out. The same thing happened last year. Dates were 'unofficially' out and circulating and then when they were officially released by Disney, a couple of parties were different then the 'unofficial' dates.

I wouldn't change any plans because of 'tentative' dates. I'd wait for the official dates from Disney themselves. IMHO.
