We're thinking of going in October to MNSSHP. Now that we can get into the park at 4 pm., do you think the crowds will be horrible? It will be in the mid-week. Will fantasyland be open during the party? (winnie the pooh, carousel, small world, dumbo). How are the lines during the party on the rides? Will my 3 year old twins be scared of the party? Thanks for info, Linda

do your twins like partys? or halloween? disney? if you answered yes then they will love it. if they are scared of the dark then its iffy. but my DD4 (2004) loved it yet she is scared of the dark. if you make it fun and remember its disney(to have fun) and not universal(now this is scary) have fun and r=enjoy

We went last year, because we happened to be going in October anyway, and our son just turned 2. We are going again this year and he is so excited to go again!
Fantasyland was totally awesome! We had a 10 minute (because it is slow loading) wait for Dumbo, but everything else was walk-on all night! He had a ball carrying his own candy bag and he hugged several characters. It was so great!
One thing you can do, is rent some Disney Halloween movies to help him understand what is going on. We have an old tape of Disneys' Sing along songs from the Disneyland park, and it has a song with Grim Grinning Ghosts and has some of the characters dancing around in costumes. He recognizes the song when we go on the Haunted Mansion ride. He likes the Winnie the Pooh Halloween Heffalump too, and so he gets the idea of Halloween, spooky, and costumes. Just an idea.
We are hoping to have just as great of time on our MNSSHP this year, but a two year old can be unpredictable. I hope he'll be as good as he was last year!
Have an awesome time!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

If it looks like they are beginning to get frightened, head them over to Mickey's Toon Town Fair...... There will be alot of characters there, and like always will be VERY VERY kid friendly. When at the "Fair" make sure you hit the walkway that is down by the train and that leads over the Space Mountain. There the characters will be spaced about 20' to 25' from each other, all giving out treats.....

If they don't like loud noises, this may be a good place to spend time while the fireworks show is going on. In the past the fireworks soundtrack included some of the villian's voices. Not sure how they are doing it this year.

We took DS2.5 last year and he had a ball!! He dressed as Mickey Mouse so all night CM's referred to him as "Boss" which he loved! He had fun trick or treating, saw all of the characters in costume (which he thought was great) and we rode virtually every ride in the park (we stayed until after 11pm as he was in great spirits!)
He did cry during the fireworks (which we discovered earlier in the week that he didn't like) but he calmed right down when they were over.
Also, we went on Halloween night (which was sold out) and we found it to be VERY manageable.
Have fun!
