I am read on another thread that we are not being allowed in at 4 pm this year?!? Has anyone heard this also? I do not wish to stand in a huge line at 7pm to get into the park and waste time by not getting admitted to begin at 7 like usual. ?!?!?!? :scared1:

This is almost getting funny. Go back and reread the thread you think you saw. I bet it doesn't say that.

To review - the ticket allows you in the park at 7. In the past, Disney has allowed people into the park at 4, but that's just a perk they could take away at any moment. However, considering that Disney specifically told the ADR folks to allow ADR's for anyone with a MNSSHP ticket starting a 4, it's a pretty good bet Disney plans on opening the park for MNSSHP goers starting a 4.

What you probably have read is a couple folks asking Disney to stop allowing people in at 4, and to only start allowing folks in at 7.

I'm sorry about the confusion, I guess I did mis-read it and jumped to conlusions.

I think part of the confusion is that different people are getting different answers from different Disney representatives.

Prior to trying to make ADR's (which I decided against based on the reply I got from Disney), I emailed for clarification (I'm an over-planner and didn't want to make ADR's and then get there to find out I couldn't get in to the park with just my MNSSHP based just on previous years).

My email:

Hi,

We have tickets to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 15. That is the day we arrive in Orlando, so we have just planned to check in to our resort (Coronado Springs), and to go to Downtown Disney in the early afternoon, not using a park ticket for the couple of hours between
our arrival and the Halloween party.

Our party tickets say that the admission to Magic Kingdom for the party starts at 7 pm. Someone told me that we can actually get into Magic Kingdom an hour or so before that, and make dinner reservations at a MK restaurant. Since we won't be visiting another park that day, and I don't want to use one of our park tickets for entrance for only an hour or two, before making reservations I want to make sure that they were correct about gaining access into Magic Kingdom with our Halloween Party tickets around 5 pm instead of 7.

Is that true? Or should we just plan to get quick counter service meals when we get in after 7 pm. I don't want to waste away too much of the party time with a big sit down dinner, but if we can get in and have dinner a bit before that, I will call to make reservations.

Thanks for your help!!

Disney's reply to me (on July 15, so they may have changed their plans again)

Dear Shannon,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties are a one-of-a-kind Halloween party where Guests can trick-or-treat immersed in the fantasy of the Magic Kingdom Park. It takes place from 7pm to midnight. We currently have no information on entering the park prior to the 7pm start time.

Dining is not heavily emphasized at this event so you may wish to have an early dinner at your resort, Downtown Disney or at one of the monorail resorts before the Halloween party begins.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us. Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Betsy Mayer

So, I decided to keep my DtD meal plans, and I plan to get to MK about 6:15 or 6:30. I am still hoping that they are letting people in then, so that there is not this big huge line building up outside. But I'm not counting on anything other than being able to get in at 7 as stated on the ticket, since Disney employees have given so many different versions. It sure would be nice if they would just make a final decision and post it clearly on their website though.
