I did last year! And gave the 1/2 filled bag of candy to my nieces when I saw them a couple days later, after taking a few pieces out for me. Cheapest and best souveiner I gave them.

M&M's/Mars Chocolate (m&m's,snickers,etc) suckers,sour stuff.
It was a nice variety. No black and orange packaged peanut butter chews

Maybe you can answer this next question;

When you leave the park do you get to fill your bag with candy?

Is it just one type of candy?

No, they have CMs who pass out the candy. They have big containers they grab from and the assortment in them varies. There are various locations throughout the park that have a big Goofy Candy Company balloon, these are the trick or treat locations.
I am a peanut M&M fanatic and there were a few cast members who were nice enough to pluck through and grab those for me. Some are not as nice, since there is a line, especially at the start.

No, but I usually discourage the practice when I'm not alone as well.

It's all the same candy you can get trick or treating at home, or for $2 for a great big bag yourself at any grocery/drug/discount store at home. Once or twice for the "fun" of it, I guess, but the long lines just always stun me. There is so much more to the parties, and candy like you can get at home doesn't really interest me, especially since it's not even characters giving it out or anything.

But that's just my opinion.

I did! Just a couple of lines. I ate two pieces and then put the rest in my office's kitchen. It was gone by the end of the day
