We are going to MNSSHP for the first time this year and I am trying to figure out if we should dress up or not. Are most people in costume...or is it mostly just kids. Will we feel out of place doing one or the other?

I've found that's pretty evenly split between those that do and those that don't wear costumes. It isn't biased enough either way to make either group feel uncomfortable.

You, IMHO, won't feel out of place doing either, but I can say that age has nothing to do with who dresses up and who doesn't. Depends how you and your party feel about not only dressing up but the other things that go into it. Like packing those costumes, or if you have dinner right before the party, eating in them. What we usually do is bring a costume, and then a Halloween t shirt (Disney if possible) and some sort of headband or hair thing also Halloween themed. That way if it's raining or something else comes up that makes us feel the costumes will hinder our experience, we have a back up.

You will be fine whatever you choose. Probably a little more than half of the adults will wear costumes or Halloween themed tee shirts and/or headbands or Halloween jewelry, but there will be many other in regular non-Halloween clothes.

I'm a solo traveller who always dresses up for the Halloween party. As previous posters have said it's a complete mix of dressed up or not so you really wouldn't feel out of place doing either. I would just say though that if you're interested in meeting characters then a costume is a great talking point so you can get some great interactions from it

As others have said, you wont feel out of place one way or another. The first time I went to MNSSHP i didnt dress up....there was an even mix of people who were dressed up and ppl who werent. And let me tell you, some of those adults who dressed up really went all out. It was amazing to see. You wont feel out of place if you dont dress up. its a complete mix. Either way you'll have a great time!! This year i've decided to dress up, and i cant wait! I love mnsshp! :yay:

My DH and I were all excited to dress up for Tuesday's party...but slowly that faded and I don't have costumes for us :sad1:
The kids have their costumes but even trying to find costumes this early in Toronto was kind of tough. I know we will have a good time no matter if we dress or not.
Leaving soon!!!

Thank you for all of your replies! It's good to know we won't be out of place either way. Now to decide....

@allybabba98 Hello fellow Torontonian! Where abouts are you? There's a halloween store open at square one (where Target use to be). have you tried there? I'd call first before going though. :) Have a great time!

I agree with the others - you'd be comfortable doing either. DH and I are in our 20s... no kids, we go every year and we do dress up.
