My family is headed to Disney in the fall. While there we will be celebrating my youngest's 3rd birthday. Because no one ages at Disney, I know that he doesn't need a ticket for regular park days because we will check in before his birthday. My question is that he will be 3 when we go to MNSSHP. Being that it is a hard ticket event, do I need to buy a child's ticket for the party for him or Because he is considered an infant for our stay, is he considered an infant for the party too?

I am fairly sure that because he is 3 at the time of the party he needs a ticket.

I'm actually pretty sure he doesn't need a ticket. Everything I ever read says the age they are when you start your vacation is the age they stay.

You will be fine not buying him a ticket. We took my two year old to the Christmas party a few years ago and had no issues getting into the park without a ticket for her. I bet no one will even ask.

Thank you all. I just wasn't sure because it is a hard ticket not directly tied to our other park ticket. I just didn't want to get there and have an issue and the party be sold out so he wouldn't be able to get in.

It's three and up but they are not going to ask for id so should be good to go.

They don't age for tickets (as in if the first day of your trip on a 10 day ticket he is still 2 but then turns 3 on the 2nd day then he doesn't need to buy them for the other 9) BUT they do age for dining on the trip-so you don't pay for him at a character meal on the first day but do from the second on.
I would lean towards them needing to buy a ticket for this, but I would email them and ask and print off the response if they say he doesn't need one. I sometimes find with the emails that I need to go back several times as they don't specifically answer your question just give you a general "kids don't age on their ticket so blah blah"
