MNSSHP costumes

We are looking to go in a "couples" costume and have decided on the Mad Hatter and Alice. The only issue would be the Hatter's hat on the plane. Has anyone been before with something oversized? How did you get it on the plane?

Can you buy it over there? Last year we went as Woody and Jessie and I pre ordered the hats at Walmart and we collected while we were there. They were around $20 each and far better quality than anything we could have got here.
