MNSSHP coming back 2021?

I think its doubtful.

Possible, but not sure. We have reservations over Halloween weekend in hopes that they do bring it back. If not, I hope they will at least allow costumes like they did this past Halloween season!

Maybe with even fewer tickets sold for each party. I hope so!

I posted this elsewhere but these are my thoughts...

For the short term, I think WDW may not do Halloween & Xmas parties since guests have certain expectations of what was normally expected as part of these parties and we aren't certain what WDW will be in a position to include this year. What if they go with a brand new 50th anniversary party starting in October and running through the holiday season and into 2022. They can define what's included in the pricing for these parties and no one would complain that they weren't getting the same as before because this would be new and limited to the 50th anniversary year.

A lot has to change between now and then for that to happen.
I don't expect to see it, but a lot could happen over the next 7 months, or not.
I'm sure for the 50th, WDW would love to have MNSSHP and MVMCP back for this fall.

If the vaccine becomes mass produced in April and you can walk or to your local CVS or Walgreens to get that Johnson and Johnson shot I’m pretty sure they will have not so scary Halloween party back

I think it will. Universal is making HHN work for them, and I think we’d all understand that some offerings just won’t be available.

LEGOLAND had a really cool offering with their halloween and Christmas stuff in 2020. They had themed “fences” and barricades and stages for the characters all outside and nicely distanced

ride overlays wouldn’t be hard as they’d do repeats of previous years (maybe minus space mount

Disney could take the small parade floats and set up like Seaworld has done for a few select characters, and then get creative with the other barricades.

we could also see more exclusive character offerings. Imagine if Halloween pooh took over crystal palace in addition to cruella at tonys.

obviously no dance parties but
stage shows will likely be back, and a modified parade, and candy can be passed through a tube OR just a straight up treat bag at the beginning of the party so there’s no excess lines.

they could add a scavenger hunt for the little kids to do with a prize like at Epcot. Food is easy as they continue serving fun and spooky things at Qs and the carts like they normally do.

I think they may do a mini-version this year to test things out, but I don't expect it'll be back to full status. I hope they do something - it's my favorite time of the year to go and I just might have a vaccine by then.

Vaccine rollout has gone way better than originally anticipated. By the end of this month a full one third of the population will be vaccinated. Approx 3mm people are getting a shot every day. At this rate everyone who wants to be vaccinated will be by July 1. So I think this is a big yes to these parties, maybe a lower attendance but should be a go.

I think there is a good chance, but I think Christmas parties will be for sure. Halloween I think they can do them its just if they decide. They really seem to be setting Oct. 1 for when things are more normal and that would split halloween parties as before oct 1 and after oct 1, unless they just do a month of them. Just don't know that I see much big happening before oct 1 other then starting the process to loosen rules.

I think the Christmas party is a safer bet than Halloween, but I think there's a very good chance that WDW is operating close to pre pandemic levels by the end of August, so they could do it thought September and October.

It would be fiscally smart for Disney to bring the the parties back. They are huge money makers and it's easy to limit the attendance. However, it seems like Disney is operating on a "cut everything that's not essential" mindset right now, even if it's something that would bring in a lot of revenue.

So, time will tell.
