MNSSHP Character Watch

Hi!

Being the obsessed character watcher that I am & the fact that there are more Disney characters out at this time of the year, I'd like everyone's help in watching for Disney Characters, please.

If you've been to WDW (any of the parks or MNSSHP) and have seen that rare character, please let us know the following:

Who was it? (if you're not sure, just give a general description & I'm sure someone will be able to figure it out)

What park were you at?

What area of the park?

Time of day?

Wearing anything special? (in Halloween costume, spacesuit, etc.)

Able to sign autograph or use stamp?

Picture only - no autograph?


Some of the rare characters that we are looking for to add to our scrapbook are:

Mowgli (from Jungle Book - met in 1998, but need better pic & auto)

Kermit the Frog
Stromboli (from Pinocchio)
John Smith (need auto)
Little John from Robin Hood (??)
Prince Phillip & Malifecent (from Sleeping Beauty)
Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Doc, Grumpy & Happy (do they sign & can we get separate pics of each with family?)
Old Hag & Prince from Snow White
Tarzan & Jane
Bullseye
Prince Eric (Little Mermaid)
Kim Possible (??)
Mr. Incredible & Elastigirl from The Incredibles (others?)

Big Bad Wolf, Fifer Pig, Fidler Pig & Practical Pig

I didn't think we needed that many until I made this list!! ACK!!:O I counted 91 characters that we have met (plus MANY Star Wars characters from the Star Wars Weekends).

I was blown away when I got to meet Kermit in MGM. Just outside the exit for Muppet theater and right beside the Muppet gift shop. He gladly posed for pics, kissed my hand and stamped the autograph book. He was wearing a white dinner jacket. Love that Kermie!! That's one down for ya.

If you like the Kingdom Hearts game by Disney, Sora is located in Tommorowland across from the new Stich ride at the MNSSHP. We were there on Tuesday night and my two boys are huge KH fans!

My boys will be absolutely flabergasted, for they, too are big KH fans (now if we could only figure out how to get past this one part of the game! LOL). I'll make a note of Sora & let it be a big surprise for them!

We LOVE watching for characters & MNSSHP will be an absolute treasure trove for us!!

We saw Goofy in a spacesuit outside of Mouseworks. I have the best picture of him and DH in matching poses!

We also saw kermit in MGM outside of the Muppet Theatre.

We saw an unusual one last MNSSHP,I dont know who he was! He was very big, kind of blue/ grey color, looked to be a bad guy. Almost looked like he was suppsed to be made of stone?? It wasnt Hades, over heard some one say it was from a cartoon on tv.

maci...it sounds like Goliath from the Gargoyles cartoon show. My DS wants to see him so bad, loves that show!

DisneyMom23Boys, thanks for starting thread! I am also a HUGE character watcher, and I also been searching these threads to see who is new to find at MNNSHP. The rare ones I will be looking for are Darkwing Duck, Walrus, Sora, and Prince Philip.

Don't know if this helps much for this year, but last year at the party, I found some of the ones you mention - Scrooge, Stromboli, the Old Hag from Snow White, Big Bad Wolf, and Malificent were in front of the Castle after the Cinderella show. We saw Pain and Panic by City Hall, I guess about half way through the party (maybe 9:30ish). I remember running back and forth between the two locations, to see who was out!

I can never find Brer Fox. I wish he was at the party!

Last year, early in the party around 7:30 by the Carousel, I got all seven dwarves with individual photos and autographs! Later in the party, they were only doing group photos with no autographs.

I read that Bullseye is at the Diamond Horseshoe now.

Back in April, I met John Smith and the Snow White Prince by the Big Hat at MGM around 12:30. But nowadays, face characters may be meeting by the MGM entrance now, I read.

We have the best pictures of Maleficient, Hag Witch and Scrooge in front of the castle. I loved seeing the villians. I have read that Brer Fox is on the Libertybelle Riverboat during the halloween party. I didn't go on this last year, so I can't be 100% positive. I think my favorite picture is with the seven dwarfs! This year my kids are going as Aladdin and Jasmine, so we will be on the lookout for Jafar.

We too got Goliath from the Gargoyles this past MNSSHP (10/1). He was at the back of the castle.

Spacesuite Goofy-- 10/03 at Epcot-- but he was near Mouseworks. He was really tucked away in alittle corner where he was hard to see.

Mr. Walrus and Cards-- Seen on the path during 10/1 MNSSHP.

Quasimodo-- 10/1 MNSSHP-- this was a first for us as we have never gotten this one before.

Kermit-- 3/04 trip. We seen him outside the Muppets Gift Shop. There is a backdrop painted like a gazebo. That is where we saw him. Once again, sort of just stumbled onto him.

7 Dwarves-- Seen them near the Carousel in MK on 10/1 party w/ Snow White. Only doing photos (not w/ guests in them). Also seen them 3/04 trip in Toontown across from the Train Station. Once again not doing guest photos or autographs. I actually got them on video marching and dancing around. It was really cute.

Old Hag-- 10/31/03 MNSSHP in front of the Castle after Cinderella's Suprise.

What about other villians, such as the Evil Queen & Maleficent? I'm really looking forward to getting their pic and autograph.

We seen the Evil Queen from Snow White many times by the Big Hat at MGM (she maybe by the entrance of MGM now, I read). Watch out - she's a mean one! She is not at MNSSHP as she is in her "Witch" form there.

Malificent is harder to find - I read of people meeting her by the Hat at MGM or in Fantasyland, but she is definately at the Halloween party.

We found Jafar in front of the barbershop in the morning. The Evil Queen was under the big hat at MGM.

Really, the Evil Queen is not at the Halloween party? Oh No!, my daughter and I are going to be so bummed She is dressing like her for the party and my DS is the mirror. We have met her many times, but wanted a pic of them dressed up with her.

We missed Mr. Walrus on Oct. 3's MNSSHP! We saw Donald dressed as a pumpkin at his boat in Toontown, Jojo and someone else from JoJo's Circus outside the Toontown character tent, several of the cards in front of the train station in Toontown, Snow White and the 7 dwarves. We saw Cinderella and Prince Charming and heard Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip were alternating in the tent area near where Ariel's Grotto used to be....line was HORRIBLE so we didn't wait. Pooh people were supposed to be in Toontown, but were already in for the night when we got there (right around 10:20). Last year Pooh was a bee, Piglet a flower, Tigger a skeleton and Eeyore a mummy. Soooo cute! Oh, and we also saw Minnie in her gazebo dressed as a princess. Mickey was behind his house dressed as a farmer, but we got him last year and also did Garden Grille this trip, so I felt we didn't need to wait in line for him. Hook was chasing Peter Pan behind the castle while we were on the Carousel. Friends of ours saw Mary Poppins and a penguin and I've seen photos of Alice and Mad Hatter, but we didn't see them. Last year we saw Esmerelda, the jester guy, and the gargoyle.

DD was Cinderella and last year we wasted a lot of time trying to get her autograph. This year we entered the park right around 4 pm and went straight to Toontown where she's usually in one of the lines in that tent. We saw her, Suzy mouse, and Ariel. There was a 40 minute wait, but I think we hit it just at break time because later in the week we were in the line for Pooh people and the Princess line was moving quickly.

I've seen Chip and Dale in ghost costumes in promos and videos. Are they ever out? If so, I've missed them the past 2 years.

Could JoJo's friend be the lion, Goliath, perhaps?

Yep! I was playing Playhouse Disney.com w/dd earlier tonite and saw that the lion's name is Goliath. Also, I had read the Olie and Zowie would be there, but I didn't see them. Did anyone?
