MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets are on sale now

Wait, so we should not linked the tickets? But it's already linked automatically. We might actually be in the park that day, so I'm not sure how this is going to work out :confused3

I’ve just read two different answers to this question, so, anyone else want to weigh in on this:
If we go to a party and enter after 4:00, can we make advance FP+ reservations or not based only on those hard-tickets?
Thank you :)

We went to the MVMCP last Dec. We made FP+ selections for between 4-7pm and used the hard tickets to enter MK. We had no problems using the FP selections and didn't loose a regular park day off our pkg since we used the hard tickets for entry.

For these parties, if you are ALREADY in the parks, do you have to go all the way back to the entrance to get your band and other goodies? Or are there other locations within the park you can get it?

And if I do have to go back to the entrance, do I need to drag the whole family or can I just show the tickets and get the bands?

Thanks!

There are places to check in if you are already in the park. We usually went to the one by Stich's Great Escape in Tomorrowland.

In past years everyone needed to be there to have the wristband put on.

We are having breakfast at Epcot Oct 31st and then going back to the room to get dressed and then heading over to MK earlier than 4pm I don't mind using our regular tickets since we are going to use them for another park in the day but where would we get our wristbands for the party if we are already in the park?

That's great to hear! Were your party tickets linked to your MDE acct, and did you use magic bands for the FP+, or just the tickets themselves? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this.

I was thinking about this over dinner and I thought I'd mention, if you'll be at WDW during several of the parties, particularly Sunday and Tuesday, if you're torn between the 2, think about the weather. You can wait until you're there and as long as it's not a sell out, you'll have a far better chance at gauging if one will have rain or not and buy accordingly. I'm not one that even bothers to put stock in what weather forecasters say more than a few days out anyway. They are always off in my hometown, why would they be any better in FL. They're not and never have been in my 20 years of visiting and from what my FL friends tell me. LOL Plus, storms appear and disppear w/o warning. We'll be at WDW for 5 of the MVMCPs. Eliminating Friday as an option because, NO WAY :crowded: , I'm going to decide when I'm there. You still get the discount if you buy a day before.

We went to MVMCP in 2012. We're not interested in the parades (all adults), but wanted to go on the rides. We couldn't get from one side of MK to the other because of parade and crowds. Any tips on how to get through?

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and answer as though this isn't hyperbole. Just keep walking & say "excuse me" if you need someone to step aside in order to get by...

:welcome:

Avoid the hub and Main Street. They stay crowded all night. Stay in the back of the park, and travel between lands back there. :goodvibes

When we start seeing it really fill up for the parade, we get ourselves to part of the park we can stay in for the duration and not have to try and get through.

Thanks. We were so frustrated last time! CM told us to "just watch the parade," which was very annoying. One CM told us there was a way to cut across the park, but we couldn't find a way. And "excuse me" did not work on the crowd!

You're welcome. ;) Excuse me works when there are only a few people. A crowd doesn't care and plays "no hablo ingles" when it gets tight. Better to see the signs and hi-tail it before it becomes too difficult.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend as though this isn't sarcastic, and you just misunderstood the question. You can't simply say "excuse me," and expect the parade floats to stop to let you pass through Main Street, hon lol. ;)

My boyfriend and I do the main Tomorrowland rides before the parade starts, and then we move our way to the back of the park (as others have suggested). Also, I would highly suggest completing all of the main rides in Tomorrowland first. That way, you won't even have to worry about maneuvering your way back through the large crowds to get back to that area (it's total chaos). Hope this helps! :)

We did link our party tickets to MDE and used our magic bands for the FP+, but we Did NOT use our magic bands to enter the park. We were afraid that a regular park day would be subtracted instead of the party ticket--so we used the hard tickets for entrance. Please remember that this was during testing phase--so might be different this year. But, definitely worth a try. :-)

Thanks very much for the helpful advice! We were new to the MVMCP and didn't realize the difficulty of getting through the crowds at parade times. We ate at Crystal Palace, then did rides on that side of MK and got trapped trying to cross to the other side! Next time, we'll know better. Thanks again!
