Okay, our plans just changed and now we will be there for the first MNSSHP on the 15th. We are staying at POP Sept. 9-19th. For those who are going or who have been, should we go, and why? TIA

went last year and had a lot of fun and am going again this year in oct, its just a very unique disney experience

I noticed it starts at 7p.m. How early can you get in? I was just reading on allearsnet.com a review of 2004 MNSSHP and several reviews said you could get in at 4 p.m. Do they still do that? In checking the schedule for the 15th, MK is open until 9 that night so I'm assuming if you go to the park during the day, you can stay until midnight. I'm also assuming they give you some kind of wristband to differentiate between the people who bought MNSSHP tix and those who just didn't leave. (Just like EMH) Is this right?
:thanks:

I havent been before but we are going on the 15th on our 9/14-9/22 trip. It just looks like a lot of fun to me

I would say go! We have been two years in a row and in fact both of those trips we did MNSSHP twice. They have an incredible parade, special fireworks, tons of characters, including some you don't see very often and low waits for rides. My kids love dressing up in their costumes and getting all that candy. To me its just been one of those great family experiences that we all enjoyed so its a can't miss if we happen to be in WDW when its going. I wish I was going this year but we are trying MVMCP instead!

One note, if you have very little kids that can't stay up late then you might not want to spend the $$ to buy those tickets. My kids are 9 and 11 and so staying up late isn't a problem for them.

It really is fun but it is kind of expensive- Since it saves me a day on my non-exp. hoppers it is worth it to me. But if I didn't have non-exp. passes I would probably skip it.

I think something isn't right there! I know that MNSSHP is happening on the night of the 15th, so I am thinking that the Disneyworld website calendar has an error. No way would MK be open until 9:00 p.m. on a MNSSHP night. As I recall, MK closes at 6:00 p.m. to non MNSSHP ticket holders. And yes, you should be able to get into the park using your MNSSHP ticket beginning around 4:00. You will receive a special ID bracelet that signifies you can be there as a party guest. Maybe they just added some of those September dates for MNSSHP and haven't updated the calendar yet?

You gotta go, the park is just transformed and it is so fun!

We went last year Just for MNSSHP just a 3 day trip for DD's 12 B-day .

It was sooooo much fun .

We are doing MVMCP this year for a 5 day trip But if things line up right (MONEY ) We are going to do another quick trip for MNSSHP.

Wow Amy&Dan - you are right. I am sure the mnsshp date must be correct because I have seen it listed multiple places and you can buy tickets online.. The calendar is most likey the mistake

Disney says the calender is only 60 days acurate and even then could change right up until you get to the gate.

It's really just a guideline until the posted times for the day thats current.

GO!!!!! Loads of fun. We went last year mid Oct, it was still really hot but who cares? I am pretty sure Mk closed at 7pm our night. We were able to enter around 4 but we are also AP holders. I was surprised by the number of people but it was closer to Halloween also. We still did not wait for any rides though, including Dumbo. Be prepared for CANDY, CANDY,&more CANDY!!!
I ended up throwing most of it away :guilty: Not good for the kids is my excuse-I was really afraid I'd eat it. Parade is awesome as well as fireworks. We will be there again on the 15th.

Dizneydaz-maybe we will see you at Pop. We arrive on the 14th thru the 24th. Don't forget your costumes!!!!!!!!!

join us! we'll be at pop sept. 10th-16th and we're going to MNSSHP on the 15th for my DD's 9th birthday :)

Absolutely Go !!!!

We went the last 2 years around Halloween just so we could attend the party.

It was well worth it, the fireworks, unusual characters, decorations and general atmosphere was really fun.

I am holding in my hands at this very moment my Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Ticket that says 'Valid September 15, 2006 7PM - Midnight'. So, I will assume that the MK will close at 6PM that night and the calander has yet to be updated since announcing the Sept. dates.

We're going for the first time on Sept 15th also. I thought it would be worth the $$$$. I've already bought my DD (2) a Minnie Mouse dress from Ebay to wear as her costume. I don't think I'll dress up in a costume though. I tried to get my DH to let me get him a Mickey costume and he said "NO WAY" Come join the PARTY!!!!! party:

GO!!! It is a blast! :dance3:

Dolce27I....I would say the Disney calender is wrong and needs to be updated!

Here's the info from last years parties. Most stuff will be pretty much the same at MNSSHP party this year too.

you have to dress up!!!!!!!!! Otherwise you can't make make fun of all the other goofy people in costumes costumes :lmao

We are also going on the 15th, when I bought the tickets I specifically asked the cm about the calender saying the park closed at 9. She said that, yup, it's wrong, that her computer says the park IS closing at 6 that night. :) HTH

Also, we'll be at the POP 14-18!

Thanks everyone! I figured something must be wrong with the closing time-it just didn't add up. Sounds like we'll have to do it. I'm not to worried about DD(almost 7 then) staying up late since we come from CA and we keep a fairly late schedule most of the time while we're there. I just can't wake her up early to get to the parks early-especially for a.m EMH. Plus she's a night owl anyway. Hard to get her to bed by 9:30 even on school nights.

I'll call tomorrow to get tix-hope they're still available. Again, :thanks: for all the great advice! I'll see you there-look for our green mickeys. :thumbsup2

One more question-if you want to get in before 7 then will I have to use a regular ticket or will the MNSSHP ticket be good at 4:00? I'm assuming it won't be but I just want to clarify. Oh, and the tix we'll be using this trip are unused park hoppers (no exp.) from previous trips.

Thanks again!

We'll be at Pop from Sept. 7-10 then at the BCV for the rest of the week. We've decided to skip on MNSSHP this time. While my dh and 11yo ds would love it (we've been once before) my 6yo, does not do well with crowds or spooky things after dark at this point in time. Plus we have a 2yo...and don't really know how she would react.

I also don't want to have to worry about Halloween costumes that early!

We had a good time at the MNNSHP we attended in 2003....but it was crowded and I was pregnant and I ended up having to carry my then 3yo...it was pretty difficult. We (especially the kids!) enjoyed the Halloween party at our resort much more...and it was free! We will likely do both again someday when the girls are older.

I'll keep an eye out for all of you at WDW that week!
