We're going to either 3 or 4 parties and our costumes are:
-MiSiCi parade dancer costumes
-Fairies: Terrance, Tink & Rosetta
-Gaston & the Bimbettes
For the 4th party there's no theme so far, but I'll be using the Esmerelda I'm getting for the 24 hr event!!

We are doing 2 parties in Sept - going for cool and comfy with group themes.
We went 2 years ago mid Sept and it was hot and humid!

Muppets world tour - granddaughters will be miss piggy and Kermit, dd will be constatine (got white shorts and tees and dyed them green for both frogs) fozzie bear Brown tee and capris with polka dot tie and hat(me), beaker with plaid shirt, khaki shorts and a clipboard (dh). We are using felt and fleece to make ears (headbands), and collars for the frogs, etc. I can picture it,I just hope it all comes together lol.

That's adorable sounding!!!! Very creative :)

I think I came up with a good idea for us. Just need to run it by the boys first. Lol

Thanks. Hope your idea works out. We have spent less than $100 putting together 10 costumes. We found multiple pieces at Goodwill and other thrift stores and used coupons at fabric store and hobby lobby.

I'm building a screen accurate Ghostbuster costume ! Minus the proton pack, thats just too much to lug around.. I would love to wear my Gene Simmons Destroyer area suit, but I can't imagine walking around the Magic Kingdom in 8 inch dragon platform boots !

:lmao:

We will be 4 adults at the party this year and will be dressed each in a different decade. One of us is the 50's (in a poodle skirt), one as the 60's (hippy), one as the 70's (disco) and I'm the 80's (lace fingerless gloves, neon, etc).

I'm doing a 50's theme as well. Got the pink poodle skirt and a set of Minnie ears with plain pink bow. Have some shoes that can make do and a lightweight short sleeved sweater. Or I can make do with a nice t-shirt tucked into the skirt. Just need to find a lightweight crinoline for under the skirt and a pair of bobbie socks.

I had originally thought of an 80's theme, but ultimately decided against it.

The past 2 years DS was Hook and DH and I were Smees. DS outgrew his Hook costume and I think it's time for something different..but since we're going in Sept. I want cool costumes as I suspect it will be hot.

DS loves Villains and one of his favorite games is Villains monopoly so I was thinking we go as Villains monopoly pieces which are silver hats representing the villains. When we play DS is Hook, DH is Mad Hatter and I am Malificent.

Now I'm now seamstress or very crafty, but I was thinking we'd all wear silver/grey shorts and t-shirts. I'm thinking I will get iron transfers and print out the Villains monopoly logo and transfer to the back of the our t shirts and on the front of our t-shirts transfer a copy of the property card for our characters and we can wear hats of our characters. I already have the Malificent headband from our last Disney trip that has her horns, DS had his Hook Hat and I can get a Mad Hatter het when we're at Disney in August.

So that's my thought for now...

This will be my first Halloween at Disney and getting dressed up is what I'm most excited about. Personally I keep being torn between Esmerelda and a Wilderness Explorer. I will have to decide soon! My daughter will be in a cosplay outfit she already has of Korra (the last airbender).

Just a head's up for all you Frozen gals/guys: This year at Florida's Megacon, spotting Frozen people almost became a drinking game! One of my friends counted 30 Elsas and 27 Anas. At the Princess marathon the most popular costumes were a form of Frozen costume (Olafs, Elsas and Anas). I think the big 5, Cindy, and Rapunzels were the other popular ones, but no where near the Frozens.

But hey, whatever freezes your boat - you do the costumes you want to do!!! Last year I was Wendy by default (my usual costume was too hot.), and there were TONS of Wendys everywhere. But it was so much better because I had to lug my little son around (dressed as a Lost Boy) and it was easy doing that in a nightgown vs my normal costume. A LOT easier!!

We are going as The Avengers...

DH: Thor
Me: Black Widow
DS: Iron Man
DD: Captain America

I'll do another guest list thread as soon as dates are officially announced. For anyone needing inspiration, here is my guest list thread from last year...

Tons of great ideas there!

:goodvibes

Since there is 4 of us... Me, my 2 sons and my mom, I was having a hard time deciding. We don't want to do specific "characters" so I think the boys are going to be pirates and mom and I gypsies. That should go well hand in hand. :)

I was just discussing this with DH. We are going to the heroes and villians party as well, so I'm trying to decide between Snow White, Jasmine, and Minnie. I am definitely being Belle for one of the events. Still so unsure.

Our family has a couple of options we are looking into:

1.) The Incredibles: DH--Mr. Incredible, Me--Mrs. Incredible, DD--Violet, DS--Dash, DS--Jack-Jack, and introducing DD--Jill-Jill, Jack-Jack's twin sister :)

2.) St. Louis Cardinals Fans... easy for us since we live in the STL and are hugh fans!

3.) Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Twins (DS/DD) would be Jake and Izzy, DS would be Cubby, DD would be the Indian Princess, DH would be Captian Hook, and I would be Mrs. Smee :)

The Cardinals fans are winning out since we have everything we need already :)

We are planning on buying tickets for the September 23rd party :)

I am going to end up with the masses because I really want to dress up as Elsa! I am hoping that a nice adult costume is released! I just LOVE her dress and the movie so I can't resist :) DH may not dress up cause I am not sure how we could match him.

I would think 50% of all costumes this year will be frozen themed

That was what I figured, which is all the more reason why I'm not dressing as Anna, as much as I wanted to at first.

The more I think about it, the more I've sold myself on the female version of Hades. I've even begun the hunt for grey-blue body paint and wigs I can color or style as I need to. It's going to be crazy putting it all together!

I hate to be in an uncomfortable costume in the heat, so we usually just wear some themed shirts, and silly wigs.
