Thanks!:goodvibes Her tummy ache had a sudden relapse this morning until I made it clear that she was, in fact, going to school today. Then, wouldn't you know it, she was miraculously healed.:lmao:

Tow more weeks of school until Spring Break. :woohoo: We haven't had so much as a 2-hour delay this year, so we really need some time off.

Ahhh imagine that! :lmao: Thanks in part to the warmer weather we've been having, right? It's near 70 here today! :yay:

Looks like we will have lots of company at MNSSHP in September :woohoo: So great reading about everyone's costume ideas. Just wish I could be so inspired  DH and I spent hours last night poring over the Disney website, looking at all the DVDs available for sale, trying to figure something out. At one point, we even discussed Pinocchio and Gepetto, but I dunno ... something about dressing up as a young boy creeps me out! :scared:

This October will make our fourth MNSSHP. Four years ago my DH and I wore Halloween themed T shirts and funny hats. The next year I was a witch and he was a surgeon. The following year I was Snow White and my DH dressed in scrubs again. He got a lot more attention as a "doctor" than I did as one of the "many" Snow White's LOL! Last year we went to MVMCP instead and even though we enjoyed it, enjoyed MNSSHP much more! I think I'll be wearing the Snow White costume again because it was so much fun, but I am letting my natural color grow in so I may be a Snow White with salt and pepper hair! Trying to convince DH to go as Prince Charming, but I have a feeling he'll be wearing his scrubs again LOL. We love the parade, trick or treating and the fireworks!

Happy Monday, fellow MNSSHPers!:rotfl: We've decided on costumes for this year. DD will be Tinkerbell, DS will be Captain Hook, DH will be Mr. Smee, and I will be Peter Pan. Not sure it will live up to the awesomeness that was last year with our TS3 costumes, but I'm sure it will be fun. We came upon our decision in an odd sort of way. Poor DD got home from school on Friday at 4pm and by 4:30 she was throwing up. She did that for 12 hours straight, and the poor girl couldn't even keep water down for the first several hours. :sad2:After being cooped up all day Saturday, we needed to get out of the house, so on Sunday we went to our local Disney Outlet Store. She saw the new garden Tinkerbell costume and fell in love, so we bought it for her since her weekend was so crummy.

After leaving the Disney store, we headed to Target and on our way, we thought about the possibility of doing characters from Peter Pan for MNSSHP. DH said he could be Mr. Smee because no matter if it was hot or cold when we're there, he would want to wear shorts. I was on the fence about the whole thing until he came up to me in Target with a white and light blue wide striped shirt and said "I found a costume. Your turn." :lmao: I figured it must be fate.

So that was that. :rotfl: DS said he wanted to be Captain Hook, and since it would be silly not to have a Peter, that's what I'll be. It looks like DS's costume will be easy to buy with the exception of the hat. I may have to try to make one, but there's still time to try and track one down. I just have to get a costume that isn't a trashy Peter Pan. I don't do "trashy".:lmao:

Here are a couple of photos of DD in her costume. We were just trying it on, so she is a bit disheveled, but you get the general idea. :rotfl:Then there is a pic of DH's shirt. I mean, honestly, what are the odds that we found that so fast?!? I'm just really happy I don't have to make him a shirt this year!:lmao: Happy planning everyone!

 the costume idea for your family!! Cant believe that shirt your hubby found...how perfect is that??!!

 :headache: Ummm ... whoops, my friend! Do forgive me LOL :worship: :flower3: :scared:

LOL! Well...since you are giving me a flower, I suppose I can forgive you just this one time. ;):rotfl:

Thanks!:goodvibes DH found that shirt in literally less than 5 minutes. He was so smug about, too! He had a look on his face like "ha ha look what I just found".:rotfl:

Awesome idea Smitch

I think we've come up with something. I found some t-shirts that have capes on them, one is batman and one is robin (DH & I) DD1 wants to dress up as wonderwomen and DD2 wants to be spidergirl :D So we may go as superheros. I'm agreeing with this, as a tshirt I can totally handle - plus the outline of the body with logo, makes me look much shaplier then I am :rotfl2:

Thanks! Your superhero idea is great!:goodvibes

Smitch425,

great job on last year's costumes! your daughter looks so cute as tinkerbell, and I can't believe your dh found the shirt so easy...lol. It really was meant to be :)

I can't wait to see more pictures and hear everyone else's costume ideas.

This will be our first MNSSHP! We've not settled on costumes yet, we need something fairly light so we can bring it on the plane. We've been toying with ghostbusters but that's as far as we've got at the moment!

I don't think it's EVER too early to talk about MNSSHP :goodvibes. It's my favorite and I love it! I can't wait until the party comes ~ I'll be there!

We REALLY want to go and we're crossing our fingers it'll be running the week we're there (it was running last year at that time!). :confused3 I spoke to a cast member yesterday and she said the dates would be released in the next couple of weeks. :cheer2:

What are the speculative dates for MNSSHP again? I need to check them against my info. I have parties taking place Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday the week we are there...does that sound about right? We are there October 21-28.

For your week, those days look to be accurate. Here is the current calendar for October. Keep in mind, though, nothing is official until the official party release next month...

Our first and only MNSSHP was in 2010. We wore Halloween Tshirts and my little man dressed up as Batman. We had a great time and he just loved all the attention he got. This year we are going on a group trip and the plan is for everyone to dress up as pirates. I'd like to buy shirts, clothes, and kinda create our own look, but I may just end up buying a costume. Little man was all for it, but lately he has been saying he wants to dress up as Wolverine. I'm hoping to talk him out of it, or at the very least tell him there is a no claw rule at Disney because he gets a bit wild when he's in character. He'll be 5 yo in a little over a week.

Smitch - Can you post a bigger picture of your costumes from last year? (like the one in your siggy)

Any ideas on which nights to do MNSSHP? I'm thinking either Sunday and Tuesday or Sunday and Thursday. I'm thinking Friday might be too busy. Hubby and I will attend both and my parents will attend either Tuesday or Thursday so they don't have to use up a park day (it will be pool day until the party). Thoughts anyone? :)
