kennythepirate posted an update of the characters on his FB page this morning. New characters include Merida and Periwinkle. Rosetta, Terrance, Suzy, perla, Rafiki and Timon have been eliminated from party meets. He will be at the first party tonight and will update- along with easywdw.

I don't think Suzy or Perla made appearances last year--I only saw a report of them the first night and after that, zilch.

I'm going to be a Haunted Mansion Ghost again(3rd time), but I always change the costume. This one I worked hard on and it turned out great I think. I'm not any particular ghost, just one of the many happy haunts who live there

Just checked Kenny's site. It looks like Phineas and Ferb will also be there. Although, they are meetable every day, too, so what's up with that? Maybe they will be in costume???

We're going October 16 and October 18, so excited. I love finding the characters, and going at night. Since our mother daughter trip always falls during this time, it's becoming tradition...

If only more of Fantasyland was open this time... oh, well... something to look forward to next year...

And I'm super excited because I have so far managed to pull of the biggest surprise ev-ah for our trip this year... I try and do something special for our trips (not like Disney and time together isn't special but...) every year... First year was tea at the Grand Floridian, last year I was able to upgrade our rooms to the Wilderness Lodge on a major discount....

THIS YEAR, I managed to snag reservations for us on October 16 for CRT for dinner before the party... So if you see a 30-something and her mama in tiaras and sparkly homemade crown shirts, that will be us! And she has no clue..

Pleased about Merida and Periwinkle as I wanted to meet them and I'll be pushed to do it in my 2 days whirlwind trip. BUT sad about Suzy and Perla, I'd have liked to meet them.

Suzy and Perla were not regulars last year either, they only appear on random nights.

DS is going to LOVE this! I was so excited when I saw it. They weren't doing meet-and-greets in the parks when we went last trip, and now he'll get to see them on our first full day, at the last MNSSHP!

Look for a Cheshire Cat on a purple and orange ECV with Alien Green Mickey Heads on the tiller and the motor.

Question??? Do ANY of the characters sign autographs at the party? or is it just meet and greet? I know the dwarfs don't but wasn't sure about the rest!

1. As long as I do not solicit Guests there is no problem if taking a picture of me. I am even allowed to pose.

2. The actual Disney Characters can sign autographs. The Seven Dwarfs have never been to school, so they are illiterate and can't sign their names. But Guests in costumes are not supposed to sign (I could get fired if I did).

My boys don't know either! We just booked yesterday to arrive on Friday and we're not telling them until Friday morning, when they think they're going to school and instead they're going to Disney World!

So I'm traveling with my BFF and we are already doing the Keys to the Kingsom tour, and after reading this thread I really want to go to MNSSHP but the $60 each is another expense.

We've agreed (OK my BFF) to wait until we are down there to see how the weather is etc.

What are the chances that October 11th (a Thursday) will be sold out before we get there? Anyone have any ideas?
