MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

I have what probably amounts to a silly question but....WHY more then one?

We're doing more than one party because attraction lines are shorter during the party than they are during the day. We're not doing a morning at MK, just two MNSSHP. That's the way we did it last year and we were able to ride more at the party than we normally do in the morning plus we didn't have to get up early to do it! (Not getting up early is a big deal to a teenager, LOL...and we'll have one teen and three preteens along on this trip.)

I read MK closes for an hour before th eparty? If you have tix, can you enter at any time? Thanks!

Yes, you can still enter even when the park is officially closed. They use that time to set up the park and clear it out of non-party guests but they still have the turnstyles open for party goers.

I ordered my tickets for the 12th on April 30th and have not received them yet. I am bummed. For all of you that got your tickets already, did you have them sent other than regular mail?? I called today to find out the status of my ticks and the girl couldnt access them because they are under the magical gatherings category and I would have to find out any info through the special ticket number, which she gave me, however, they dont open until monday at 8:30 am. Ugh.........now I have to wait ALL the way until Monday morning. The cast member did say however that it could take up to three weeks for them to arrive, so maybe I am being overly anxious. Ok, I had to vent. I did however, make my resservations for the night of the party to have dinner at the crystal palace for 5pm. Ok, now I amm done. Thanks for letting me babble.

I ordered my tickets last Saturday and they arrived yesterday. They came regular mail. You ordered yours on Sunday so I am sure that you will have them on Monday.

HI! we got ours yesterday and had ordered them on the 1st of May. I am also a little disapointed that they don't look like Halloween but they are pretty cool never the less. I got the stunt show, Cinderellabration, Soarin and the best yet...Expedition Everest! Do we get to keep them after we go into the park for the party? Anyway, Hope to see you all there! Helen

Ours came on Saturday 5/7 as well. Always fun to get those envelopes from Lake Buena Vista.

Although in the rules it says that Halloween costumes should not "drag on the ground." Weird.

WE're going 10/31. I hope it won't be so crowded that we can't enjoy. Ordered our tickets 4/30 and received 5/6. I made ressies today for Tony's for dinner @ 5:00, so I think we're all set, at least for that night.

WOOHOO! Just booked everything!
For some reason it took until today to figure out that the fre dining lined up with three of the dates for MNSSHP! Sad, but true. And that was enough to push me and my husband into planning a free dining vacation we had already decided we weren't going to do. lol. Still can't afford yet another Disney trip, but I've always wanted to do a Disney holiday and Halloween is one of my favs.

So, first trip to MNSSHP!!!!!!

Bought the tickets for September 15th, and reserved LTT @ 6:30.
As well as a 5 day stay at POP with free dining abd made my ADR's for the (4) table service credits.
All in the span of 2 hours of discussion and phone calls, we have a vacation made!
That makes 3 trips in one year, wow! Who knew that getting annual passes could inspire so many visits.

Is the first party on the 15th of September? Some of you mentioned the 12th and 14th. Also, just out of curiosity will the "first" party of the Halloween season be the most crowded?

I alos wish they were Halloween tickets instead of the 2 Soarin and AK ones that I got but no complaing here. I'm head to the house of the mouse!!!!!

Hi! This is going to be our second and third MNSSHP. We went for the first time Oct. 26, 2004. It was the highlight of our trip!!! We just didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted. There was so much to see! The rides were walk ons in most cases. The longest line we waited for was 10 minutes for Peter Pan's Flight. We never got to do Splash or Thunder Mountain that night. I'm determined to do those rides at night this time! I love all the character pictures I got that night, especially at LTT! I hope by doing 2 parties we can experience everything and see alot of rare Disney characters, especially Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. I would love to see them together!

We were able to get our pictures taken last year at the party with Snow White & the 7 dwarfs. I was so excited when I seen them

We just got our tickets today!!!! I ordered them on 4/30 for the Oct. 12th party. We got two Cinderella, two Lights&Motor, one soaring and one expedition everest. Ok, now our trip is finally "REAL". Only five more months!!! Who else is going on the 12th?????

ok, I finally got done reading this whole thread, wow, just found it yeasterday.

I made LTT ADR's for 6:30 on the night of our party (9/15) and now after reading everyone else's posts I'm worried. Is 6:30 too late? Will it be really crowded at that point? Should I try to get an earlier one, say 5:30 like it seems to be the consenses?
This is our first time doing MNSSHP, and I want enough time to enjoy most of it all. Especially the 8:00 parade and fireworks. But I also want to try and avoid being part of the crowded 6-7 group.
Any input?
