MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

At what time do they let you into the MK on the night of the party? Is it exactly at 7 or can you go in earlier with regular park admission?

The party officially starts at 7:00p. The park closes for an hour between 6:00p and 7:00p to get it ready and to clear it out. Party goers will be asked to hang out in one land.

Unofficially, they've been letting party goers in after 4:00p with just their party ticket but it is subject to change and if you ask a CM they'll deny this happens since it is unofficial.

Just got our tickets for MNSSHP for Friday October 6th. This is actually the same time we went last year. It was really HOT last year so we will wear lighter costumes. Celebrating my friends daughters birthday (again!) Last year she was 13 so this year we made reservations for her 14th birthday for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.

How will the crowds be for the party either Oct. 2nd or 5th? This will be our first time going to MNSSHP. We have been to MVMCP. Having switched plans a few times, we decided to go at this time this year and celebrate DD bday. How are the temps? I expect it to be pretty warm as I live in Louisiana, but curious if Florida would be a little different.

We're doing the party on the 2nd this year (DH's birthday!). Last year we were there 10/20 and didn't find the crowds bad at all. I'm assuming even earlier in the month will be quieter. But we also were there for the Halloween festivities and events, I don't think we went on one right.

We'll be the crazy family with the 3 month old!

We have ADR's for CP on Oct 2nd. I was wondering if those characters would be dressed up?

Sorry - just LTT.

The Pooh characters are usually dressed up during the party though.

Go to the events section of this website to check out the dates. All the 2006 dates are posted and yes you can buy the tickets. My uncle bought ours last Sunday for Halloween.

We could only get dinner reservations at LTT on the 6th, so We're Going on Friday the 6th, Too! Keep us updated on what you're wearing :teeth:

Just got our tix for 10/19. Anyone else going then?

My family is. It is also my sons Bday that day. So its my DS(turning 13, my DBF, and me going 10/19. Got 5:00 ADRs for LTT for that day.

Why do so many people order tickets ahead of time? (If they are going dates that have never sold out and not available for AP discount.) I was thinking I would just check in on Thurs night, buy tickets at the hotel for the Fri night party at the advanced purchase discount. Then, if there's a monsoon or anything, I have the flexibility of not going. But since everyone seems to order tickets early, I must be missing something??

I think it's just the excitement. It's part of the planning phase and its fun. Same with booking ADRs really early or trying to get LTT for the party (even though there are other restaurants to choose from if everyone else is getting LTT, then I better too!).

I think its kind of like how it used to be getting CRT breakfast. It was the conquest and that everyone else was doing it so we must do it too!

We're not buying our tickets for quite a while either - I paid a lot for flights (*gulp*) and have a large chunk of our accommodation paid for so now I need to really trottle back on spending for a while but I can see why others buy the tickets early. Like beattyfamily said, it's the excitement of it!! Regarding the "monsoon", you mean you'd let a little thing like a monsoon curtail your Disney fun! Where's your commitment, where's your Disney fanaticism? :lmao: [Just kidding obviously!]

I ordered our Oct. 23 tickets yesterday and am about to bust with excitement. I have always wanted to go to MNSSHP, but we've never been able to get away from work during Sept./Oct. Usually, we go in January so this will be a nice change of pace for us. It's going to be a short trip for us (only 4 days), but it accomplishes the mission...getting us to MNSSHP!! Of course I would like to stay longer, but we were at Disney in January so I think I can manage this time around. :) We have an ADR for LTT at 5:00 which I think is a good time. It seems like I have eaten at LTT in the past but I'm not really sure. It was a long time ago if I did. I booked us at LTT because I'm not that crazy about CP and I've eaten in the Castle before and have no desire to pay the new higher price to eat there again. How good is the food at LTT? Will we love it?

I agree with Beatyfamily............I think its part of the excitement and the preparing for the "big" trip. I have been waiting and waiting to this particular event in wdw that I guess I too excited for my own good. We too normally go to florida in March or April and have been going to disney even before we had kids and we never wanted to go to the MNSSHP without kids, so now that we have two and they are at a great age to take them we cant wait to go. Once I bought the tickets it finally felt like it is actually going to happen, even though its still five months away. Plus, it doesnt help that I like to have all of my ducks in a row and all tickets/ressies in my hand when we go. The other thought I had in this was what would happen if for some reason he night we had planned happened to sell out..............I would end up with two very upset little people. (seeing as how we have been hyping up this trip since we starting planning it). Oh, can see that just keep on rambling. I think I am done now.

YAY!!! Ordered our tics for the 27th yesterday online!!! (We are cruising on the Magic the next day) We wanted to do MNSSHp last year - but had to go later, so we did the Xmas party for the first time in late Nov. This will be our first MNSSHP - and we are surprising our DD with it - she knows about the cruise and staying onsite the night before. I am so excited!!!

Finally another 10/24 person. I thought we would be the only DISers there that night.

*raises hand*

My DW and I will be there on the 24th. We are hitting CRT at 5:20 and then will be scouting out a good place to watch the parade after dinner.
