MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

Just subscribing to follow along. We are going to be in Disney Oct 28 - Nov 6 for our first ever trip. I'm really hoping they have a MNSSHP on the 28th. That would fit our plans beautifully

There never are parties on Saturday nights (unless maybe if Halloween falls on Saturday night). You'll have to go Oct 30 or Oct 31 if you'd like to attend it.

I made a reservation for LTT October 2nd at 4:15 a week and a half ago and the agent told me that they didn't have later reservations because the park was set to close at 6pm that day... When I asked her to confirm it was for the MNSSHP, she said "yes".

She told me to try to call back once tickets go on sale for the MNSSHP to see if LTT was scheduled to stay open during the party, and if so, to see if I could change my reservation to a later time.

Anyone ever do this before?

That sounds right. Last year we were able to make reservations for LTT when purchasing our MNSSHP tickets. But, last year ADRs were 90 days in advance and the MNSSHP tickets went on sale the end of April/first of May, so it was well in advance of the 90 day ADR window. This year is different with 180 day ADRs and the MNSSHP dates not officially announced before that window opened.

I am hoping that LTT will be open later as well on the 12th so we can have dinner in the park and not have to worry about leaving and trying to get back in for the party. Or, do they let you eat at your resturant but then shoo you out to some waiting area outside the gates???? So many questions, so little time. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh LOL

We've had reservations as early as 4 pm at LTT or Tony's. Before we finished eating at LTT, CMs came around and put on our wristbands for the party and we were told to go to a specific area of the park to wait until the party started. We "sort of" do that!! The lines for pictures generally start forming before 7 pm and we usually do that first to keep the rest of our evening open. They don't make you leave the park and re-enter. This year we have ADRs at 4:20 at LTT for the Oct. 16th party! Counting the days!!

There's no party on the 28th unfortunately or 29th either so if you're arriving on 28th you'd need to do MNSSHP on either Mon 30th or Tues 31st. !

I actually meant the 29th instead of the 28th, but I guess it doesn't matter anyhow :( Where is the schedule for the MNSSHP's?

Don't worry! The first party is on the 29th :thumbsup2 It is posted on the TGM website, and MK closes that day at 6 so there will be a party on the 29th.

EDITED::::::::: I now see you were meaning Oct. 29th....nope :sad2: , no party that night. Sorry.

I can confirm that October 17th is a party date. I made ADRs for LTT on the 17th and she so kindly looked that up and confirmed it for me.

I am so excited to be going to our first MNSSHP on 9/29, the first night! We have ADRs at LTT at 4:20pm. Going to sleep late that day, swim and/or go to DTD, and then enter the park at 4pm. Oh, and thanks to TinknMe for the awesome pics from LTT last year. It looks like so much fun.

Trying to think of a cute costume theme for my 6 year old triples, DH, and me. So far we've come up with
  • Tink (DD), Peter Pan (DS), Captain Hook (DS), Wendy (me), John Darling (DH) or
  • Jessie (DD), Woody (DS), Buzz (DS), Little Bo Peep (me), Green Army Man(DH).
It should be so much fun. Thanks to everyone here for all the tips and help!

Last Halloween we had to spend here at home :sad2: But we dressed in Disney costumes we plan to repeat this year in WDW. DH Cptn Hook, myself as Wendy, DD Tink and DS Peter Pan. I can't wait to do it again in the right atmosphere. I guess we may see other families just like us. LOL!!! Found a cool site to view last years' parade and fireworks from MNSSHP. Not posted enough to list links, but would love to share info if anyone wants to PM me. Or if anyone can post links and know what I'm referring to, please share with others. It's so neat to listen to the music and watch the events.

Does anyone know when the tickets typically go on sale for MNSSHP? We have been checking and were told today that it would not be until August?!

Last year it was the end of April so probably soon.

I called Disney and was told that tickets go on sale May 1. I will be ready in the am to call and get my tickets for Sept. 29!

i am looking forward to going to this. I have heard such good things about it :)

Was told by 2 different CMs that they Tenatively go on sale May 1st dont get hopes up just yet. Yes I know been posted by others but I was told tenatively.

Probably been asked many times before but...

Any discounts avail for tix? AP/DVC

Knew they offered them "day of" for certain dates of MVMCP but, we bought early - afraid they'd sell out.

Last year was the first time they offered any kind of discount and it was for AP holders only on certain nights. 25% off of gate price. You could order them over the phone when they went on sale but they would make you pick them up at will call to show your AP.

According to the DIS MNSSHP page tickets for 27th, 30th and 31st will not be sold in advance. :confused3 Is this a mistake? I understand that they're saying those tickets are more expensive (which is a shame because we're going on 30th, grrrrr!) but surely we'll be able to purchase them over the phone before we go? Here is what it says:
"2006 TICKET PRICES:
ADVANCE PURCHASE (NOT OFFERED 10/27, 30, 31)
Adults: $39.35 - ages 10 and up
Child: $31.90 - ages 3 - 9

GATE PURCHASE AND PRICE FOR 10/27, 30, 31)
Adults: $45.74- ages 10 and up
Child: $38.29 - ages 3 - 9"

Anyone?

I think it's just saying the advance purchase price will not be offered those days. I think that second list is the gate purchase price for all dates, and the price for the 27th, 30th and 31st no matter when you buy them.
