I am so excited to do the MNSSH again this year. So I am trying to plan dining, and this party in. With a week away from 6 month window for Ressies. Will Dis change the hours? Sept are not actually out yet, so I can make my Aug with there schedules, but what about Sept?

I do not want to make a CRT for the night of the party, and If I make a POly or GG Ressie and we need to go that night to the MNSSH we will not be able to get a diff ressie? I went to touringplans, but they actually have an Aug date in the list, but Dis hours do not support this, they have Magic hours that night, so I cannot see them changing this. So either Dis will change the hours, or.. the site is wrong.

If they have 2 or more parties while we are there, and I have a hard ressie at 6 PM that night, ad are not getting additional tickets.. then what happens.

We are going 08-27 - 09-05 I want to for sure GO to this party as last year. This is all my DD5 talked about, and can work it in nearly any day. I do not want to plan all the dining make all the ressies then have to change, with it being free dining time (maybe or maybe not) they are impossible to get without calling the 1st day. I am paying for the DDP so I will be so furious if I miss GG, or CRT, or MBBQ after paying over 1K for it. Just as Furios is I miss the party.

Any Suggestions? Aside from calming down.. as it is 6 months away.. THANKS!

I think usually the first night for MNSSHP is Friday evening before Labor Day so this year that would be September 3 so that may be your only opportunity to attend during your trip. Usually the next scheduled night isn't until after Labor Day. I could be wrong but I do not recall MNSSHP ever having dates in August.

I don't know how an ADR at CRT for example would be handled if it is for an evening when MNSSHP is taking place; if you do not have tickets for the party on that evening but my best guess would be that you would need to be seated at CRT before party time begins and then exit park when done.

When we plan on attending the ticketed parties, we always just plan on eating CS that night. Keep in mind that the MNSSHP tickets allow you to enter the park at 4:00 p.m. (a couple hours before the party actually starts). When we went to MNSSHP last year, we ate at the Contempo at the Contemporary, got on the monorail to MK around 5:00 p.m., picked up our MNSSHP tickets from will-call, and then headed to the back of the park to ride Splash Mountain and BTMRR. We actually were able to walk back onto Splash 4 times and then head to BTMRR and ride that back-to-back. Then, we were able to hit Pirates and the Jungle Cruise before the candy stations started coming out. It was a great use of those couple hours before the party started, and I would have hated to instead be stuck eating at a restaurant. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Friday evening before Labor Day
This helps! I will plan it this way. With this in mind, and make ressies accordingly!

Can/ does Dis post hours with the parties in mind?

IE if they have not announced them, will they post MK closing at 7PM that night just in case?

Do they change hours later after parties announ. Do they annoc them when they post Sept hours?
Last year I think it was 90 day ressie window, so hours and parties were up ahead of ressie window. This year I think window, unless the dates come out this week will be 1st.

I really think Crystal has given an excellent suggestion; skip table service for night of MNSSHP and grab counter serve either at MK or wherever you happen to be prior to going over to MK.

If I recall correctly tickets for 2009 MNSSHP went onsale on May 1. So September park hours for 2010 will definitely be released before May 1. Check over on allears.net on theme park link and look down left hand column for MNSSHP; allears usually has previous years info still available.
Park hours are usually released 6mos+ an additional week or 2 ahead; August park hours were released around mid-Feb for this year. I think what you see posted when park hours are released is accurate & will probably reflect that MNSSHP is scheduled for particular evenings when MK lists an early closing time, but it is also very possible that Disney will tweak the schedule after the fact especially if they add more nights for MNSSHP then they had originally planned.

Good luck :goodvibes

:)The last two years both for MNSSHP and MVMCP we have eaten at WCC at WL and taken the boat back to MK for the party. We were on the DDP and had reservations for 5 p.m. Worked great. But I agree that CS is probably easier with children. We do not have kids so it always adult only for us and it is OK if we miss a couple of minutes for the party.

We are having our TS early in the day on our MNSSHP day. We'll be doing the morning at Epcot, and grabbing lunch at Biergarten around 1 PM. Then we'll head back to the room for a bit of a rest and plan to be to the MK by 5 PM. The big lunch will carry us well into the evening and at some point when we get hungry during the party we'll just grab some quick CS.

We did Tony's Town Square just in time for the Parade and sat on the patio. We had to get there REALLY early and wait for a patio table, but it was a lot of fun. Probably wouldn't do it again because it ate up so much of the party waiting for the patio table, but we love the parties and it was fun to relax while we were there.

The Sept hours came out. The Friday before Labor Day had a 7 PM MK hours! SOUNDS like a win, we are planning out TS for breakfast this day and have fingers crossed things do not change! :) THANKS ALL!

One of my favorite "meals" before going to MNSSHP or MVMCP is going to the tea at the GF. Its relaxing and I get the Buckingham Palace which consists of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea. $19.50 per guest
I book a seating at 3:00 or so, I can take my time, enjoy the ambiance of the GF and enjoy my food.
I can then get to the MK after 4:00 and get a head start on going on the attractions. Once the party starts I enjoy the shows, watch the fireworks, the parade and then grab a counter service meal.
