What if we meet at the DNR fish pond?

The DNR pond is a very crowded place, and they have changed that area the last few years, so not sure it is even still there. I will check things out tomorrow. The security at the Fair has been stepped up a LOT! All vehicle traffic is allowed to enter only at the far west end off Como Ave. They have greatly limited on site parking. Each vehicle will have a security ID and they will check picture IDs etc. I am expecting to have to arrive about 6:00 a.m. to be sure I am at our exhibit and ready to demo by 8:00!

I'll scope things out tomorrow and let you know if I see a special place for us.

OK - So Diane is in charge of the location, now we need to wrangle up a few more people!!!!

Sorry - I won't be able to make it on Sunday. I had a feeling that would happen...that's why I was pushing for Monday.

But, you guys have fun! I want to hear all about it afterwards!

How about meeting at the Bandshell? It's not a central spot -- but easy to find. Not too far from the Space Needle thingy.

Which bandshell? There are two. We would also have to watch out for show times. I'll use the fair schedule from the paper to look at those also.

I think Sandy is referring to the main bandshell by the Space Needle.

We'll sit tight until you grab a map and scope out a location Diane.

In the mean time go out and recruit a lot more DISers for the meet everyone.

CarolMN, MNbrowns, One_Cat, Manchurianbrownbear... I know I'm forgetting others.

I posted a heads up over on the DVC board. I know CarolMN frequents that and I see One_Cat there sometimes too.

I just checked the Fair schedule, and both band shells are having perfomances constantly until about 6:00 pm. I will check out the areas up on the north end tonight.

We will be at the Fair all day on this Friday, so I will look around, as well. I will check out the area just east of the Bazaar (between the International Bazaar and Snelling) to see if there is anything in that area as far as a place to meet and sit.

I wont have much time to look around Thursday, because I have to be on the bench all day, but can scout around a little after DH comes to relieve me in the afternoon. I think you are right about a place being possibly available up by the international bazaar, Pat.

We'll be at the Fair this Monday, 8/26. With busy work and family schedules it will probably be difficult for us to make on 9/1, but a second trip to the Fair is always fun!

This may be a very impractical suggestion for a place to meet, but I like to spend time in between one of the Sweet Martha's stands and the all-you-can-drink milk stand. Mmmmmmm!

LOL! I actually was thinking about the milk stand, because the DNR benchs are near there.

I don't care where we meet now, just thinking about those chocolate chip cookies and milk has me drooling!!!! YUM!!
