We have purchased tickets this year for the first time. What is the procedure on leaving the park? My granddaughter has an appointment with the Pirate League at 3:00. Will we have to leave the Park and re-enter? How do they go about closing the Park???

They don't "close" it perse.

At 4 pm they will begin letting people in with party tickets. Around 7 pm they will begin refusing people without wristbands on attractions, restaurants etc and escorting them out as appropriate.

If you have a park ticket that day AND a party ticket, just use your park ticket to enter for the 3pm reservation. If not, you will not be able to enter until 4pm.

You won't have to leave and re-enter. They don't actually close the park, they just start announcing close to 7 that the park will be closing for the party. At 7 they start checking for bands to decipher party guests from non party guests. If you don't already have a band you may have to go to a designated area to get one, but you won't have to leave the park

We always arrive on a MVMCP day and enter at 4 pm with our party tickets, saving a days admission. We do some rides and shopping, as well as a stop at Cosmic Ray's. We usually are able to get our wristbands when we enter at 4, but if not, we just get one over by Stitch's ride. It's always a good place as it's a little out of the way and not busy at all.

Yes we have a park admission for that day and a party ticket. Thanks for the advice about going over to Stitches. We will probably do that.
